Hippity Hoppity

Yes, that is the name of the challenge # 387 at Little Red Wagon.  With all the Easter prep and creating, it was not hard to come up with something with a bunny.  Yes you are allowed to use other things, also!  I was just so in love with this card, that I had to use it for a special challenge.  Call me crazy!

I started with a base of Ocean Mist from Gina K. Designs, topped with a layer of Doodlebug Designs designer paper from the Easter Express collection.  it is double sided, so I used the reverse with bunnies as a contrast strip.  My sentiment, and circle behind the flower center are a scrap of card with glitter accents. The large flower was created by die cutting multiple blooms from the SU! Thinlets set called Sunshine Wishes.  Easter was double cut and offset for a shadow.  That die is Anna Griffin.  My bunny is from Impression Obsession.  There are aqua pearls as embellishments.

I would also like to take this over to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is Anything Goes, this week!

We are just back from hubby having some medical procedures, so now for a nice lunch, a little cleaning, and a whole lot of crafting..... Happy Thursday!

Springtime!

I am anxiously awaiting the smell of Lily of the Valley and Lilacs.  Winter, however, took it's time coming and now it just does not know when to leave.  I was happy to see a few Spring type challenges, to get me in the spirit of the season.

First may I just say that I had so much fun water coloring this, it made me silly!  I started with a white panel, embossed it on my Cuttlebug with a Darice folder of half a tree. Having not used my Art Impression stamps in quite some time, I decided to get them out and have a play.  They are the bridge, clouds, pond/w rocks, and grass.  The bunny and bird are from IO, with the mom being an Anna Griffin die.  I tried to do mostly no line water coloring on my scene. There is Wink of Stella added to the sentiment and the water.

These will be entered for the Spring is in the Air Challenge at Use Your Stuff #257.  I will also enter this in the Cuttlebug Mania Challenge with the theme "Mother.

Thanks for taking a look!  Have a wonderful day!

WARNING! Adult Content

Okay this is not my norm.  I really do not think this is super nasty, but I just wanted to give a heads up.  My friend, Colleen stamped me a bunch of these, and they seem to be very fitting for most days, around here.  The stamp and sentiment are from Seaside Stampin Ink.  I masked off the image and hit it in places with Distress inks.  The masking formed a nice white edge.  I found a scrap of charcoal designer paper for my background, and thought it needed something so I ran some Washi on the diagonal.  Oh yeah, the image was cut out with a stitched rectangle die from Lil Inker.

Here is the sentiment for the inside....LOL.  Yep,  that about sums things up!  Hope you are giggling.

Apparently, this is a real place and the stamp is an exact copy of the store.  Just Google it!

Using a Transparency for a Shaker

This is a card created for a baby shower we had at work, last week.  Shaker cards can be such fun!  I decided to give it a whirl, since I had everything I needed right at hand.

I have a big box of Transparency sheets from Staples, and I just cut one up when I do this kind of card.  You must create some type of frame and I use foam tape to give it some depth. The window was cut with MFT stitched oval dies.  Adding a fun background always looks awesome.  You drop in your shaker bits and there you have it.  Just decorate as needed.  In this case I used the new SU! set called Moon Baby.  Coloring is with Copic markers and I added a bit of Stickles for sparkle. My designer papers are from a pad of paper from Pebbles, called Special Delivery.

This card will be entered at Little Red Wagon Challenge 386, called It's Clear to Me!.  Another brisk day, but I might get out and about a bit today.  Hope you are up to something fun!

MFT Sketch Challenge

I have been reorganizing my dies and stamps, the last few weeks.  I have been placing multiple orders for storage envelopes.  Every time I place one I seem to slip in a few extra goodies, that I have had my eye on.  This last time I ordered a couple of new stamp sets.  I seem to grab everything I can find with a Dachshund in it.  I decided to create something for the most recent challenge at MFT.

I used the Top Dog stamps set, MFT Cut Grass die, and three of my new MFT paper pads, to make my card following their sketch.  The paper pads are Homespun Gingham,Tiny Check, and Graphic Grid.  The sun is Lil Inkers.  I watercolored my dog and sentiment with ZIG Clean Color markers and a water brush.

The challenge is MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #325,and I used their products.

This will also be added to the Color Throwdown #435, to use rust blue and yellow.

Thanks for stopping by today, and have yourself a good one!

Trees

Today I have a card I created a bit ago and never posted.  I was on a roll for awhile replenishing my stash of retirement cards, and this was a favorite.

I embossed on water color paper using the birch tree embossing folder from Sizzix.  I then used a water brush to watercolor and get my colors where I wanted.  Then hitting the tops of the trees with a Versamark pad I sprinkled on a little bit of clear embossing powder, to create highlights.  My sentiment is also stamped with Versamark and embossed in gold on a strip of vellum.  A Martha Stewart punch was used to create the leaf.  My designer paper that is peeking out is a scrap from my stash.

I would like to enter this at Cardz 4 Guyz #162, which is trees.

Hope you enjoy what I made, and that you have some mid-week happiness!  I did a late night post last evening, and if you would like to check it out you can find it here.

My trees card was chosen in the Top 3 this week.  Thanks so very much!

A Couple of Creations

I feel like I am playing constant catch-up, these last couple of weeks, so I have been doubling up on some challenge posts.  My first card is for the challenge at Use Your Stuff #256, which is Doilies.  I saw a design similar to this, over on Pinterest and it looked like fun to create with.

My designer paper is from American Crafts and is called Cool Pool.  Yes I know I reversed the pattern on my half circles.  I looked more pleasing to my eye. I started with a white base of Neenah, added a layer of designer paper, then a doily cut in half.  The circles were created with a stitched circle die from Gina Marie.  My center piece is a stitched oval from MFT, a tall grass die cut from Sweet n' Sassy stamps, and a stitched bunny and bow from Lil Inkers.  I added Prima mini flowers and pearls as embellishments.

I would also like to enter this card at Addicted to Stamps #144, which is Easter.  Also the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is to use more than one punch or die.  I used plenty of dies!

My second card is for Cards in Envy, where the challenge is Black & White.  I just love b&w cards!  I decided to create a wedding card, since the season is close upon us.

The designer paper is from a very old pad from Making Memories, called Black Tie.  I added a floral diecut from SU!, to my right edge.  The die is from a set called So Detailed Thinlets.  I again used a MFT stitched oval as my focal piece.  Before sticking it, I decided to add a ribbon of 1/8 inch fine dots.  My stamps and sentiments are from Inkadinkado called Wedding/Marriage.Next came the leaves and flower spray at the top.  The leaves are a very old die from SU!, and I do believe it is the first die I ever owned. They are cut from a charcoal grey metallic card stock. The flowers are from SU! mini punches, with added pearl centers.

We had a couple of really nice days here in Eastern PA, but it sounds like winters chill will be back tonight.  Stay warm and cozy!  I am sorry for the long post and hope you made it through it!

I just realized that my card has no stamping at all, (how did I manage that?)  so it will not be eligible at Addicted to Stamps, sorry!

For The Dogs!

Today I have a card for a challenge that is new to me.  It is at Creative Corner Challenges, and it is called "For the Dogs".

My card starts out with a base of dark green Bazzill textured card stock.  The stamps are from a set by Darcie's Heart and Home.  It does not have a name but a #  JCS231.  I borrowed this from a friend and stamped plenty. The squares are from Gina Marie, while the clouds and sun are from Lil Inkers. The grass and pebbles are stamps from Art Impressions, with my designer paper being an unknown.

I hope you enjoy what I have made.  It is a quit Sunday around here, so I may be able to get a bit more crafting done.  Have a great day!

I told you.....

......I am trying to catch up on my favorite challenges!  Here goes with a second post for today!  This card starts with a base of Bazzill 2 tone, embossed card stock.  The inside of the card is a deeper shade.  Next came a layer of white that is embossed with an Anna Griffin folder.  It has different patterns so I did it sideways so it looks like the added strip in the sketch.  Next are my circles cut with my Cuttlebug, using dies from Gina Marie.  The large floral is from SU! Avant Garden colored with Copic markers, and the small sentiment is also SU!, and is from a set called Teeny Tiny Wishes.  As for the bunny, he was cut with a Lil' Inker die.  I added a fiber bow (maybe a little overkill) and an enamel dot for the bunny's eye.  The sponging is Costal Cabana ink, which matched the card stock pretty well.

This is the sketch I used, and I just moved the circles to the other side.  I would like to enter this over at Cuttlebug Mania's Sketch Challenge.

I think that will do it for today.  If you would like to see my earlier post from this morning, you can find it here.  Thanks for paying me a visit!

Top O' the Morning!

Thought I would start out this freezing cold St. Patty's Day with a bit of green.  This is a card I made last year and never got to post.  My SIL is a big Notre Dame fan, and this little fellow reminded me of the Fighting Irish Leprechaun.  He is a digital image that has no details as to who made him.  I used a few Irish themed papers from my stash, cutting the big shamrock out and placing the striped piece behind.  The die is from a stamp and die set by Sizzix,  My sentiment is from SU! and the set is from Greatest Greetings.  A few square gems finished things off.

I would like to enter this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is Bit O' Green.
Also at Shopping Our Stash, Luck O' the Irish/Green.  And then there is the Challenge at Paper Players #335 which is Green and White.

Hope if you are doing the green beer thing or doing a pub crawl you use an Uber and be safe!  Wishing you all a wee bit of magic.  I may be back after work with another post.

This card made top 4, this week.  I sure enjoy adding these little notes!  Thanks!

Numbers!

Here is a second post for this morning.  I am trying to play catch up for challenges I love to enter. Today I have a card for the Cardz 4 Guyz challenge, which is Numbers.

I started with 2 layers of Bazzill card stock, added a scrap of pretty harlequin paper, and this awesome pup image.  He has no writing but looks very much like a Tatty Teddy with that blue nose. The numbers were cut from MFT dies and I added a few sequins for sparkle. I stamped on the designer paper with my little swirk stubby from Stamps by Judith. The inside sentiment was borrowed from my friend Carol, and is a Darcie's stamp set.

If you would like to see my first post of the day, please click here.  Thanks for looking!

I am proud to say this made the top 3.  Thanks!

Use Your Stuff #255

Oh boy, do I have stuff.  I am afraid to count my embossing folders and as I was searching through them, the other day, I found this lost gem.  Bamboo, by Darice.  Yes I have Asian stamps to use with it.  I also have that whole collection of unmounted stamps in my stash.  I have no clue who made this fortune cookie or sentiment, but they are in my stuff! These were stamped and fussy cut, then popped up.  I used a brown Distress ink directly on the folder, ran it through, and then outlined the leaves with a Copic marker.  I then decided it needed a little shine so I swiped the surface for accents of Brilliance, Galaxy Gold ink.

I would like to enter this card at Use Your Stuff Challenge #255 which is Dry Embossing Machine or Hand.

Here is hoping that everyone is dug out and travel is becoming less stressful.  Thanks for the visit!

What's Old is New Again!

I decided to reach way back into my stacks of old stamp sets, and just pick one.  This is the one that landed in my hand.  It is SU!'s Measure of a Life.  I stamped the dragonfly in Old Olive ink, and die cut it with a stitched square die from Gina Marie.  I water colored it with Zig Clean Color markers and then applied Wink of Stella.  I used a basic white card base with some Bazzill, Lizard card and a scrap of Pebbles Cool Pool designer paper.  Added 3 little green pearls and done.

This will be entered in the Cards in Envy, Keep it Simple challenge.

We are in the middle of a snow storm right now, and hubby has a case of food poisoning, so it is making for quite the interesting Friday!  Hope that your Friday is way better.

A Get Well Wish

Okay, call me sick!  I drew in a few details on my Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs card.  LOL!  My coloring is with Copic markers as is the dotted background behind my pooch.  Distressing is with SU! ink color Hello Honey.  Card stock is Bazzill and the  designer paper is a mystery piece from my scrap bin. The speech bubble is from an SU! die.  Other than that, there are lots of Glossy Accents, Stickles and some fine Washi tape.  This is one of those cards that was just for fun, with no Challenge in mind.

Sorry for the fast post, but I only have a few hours to complete my week at work.  Then I get to play and create!  Have a happy day, and I sure hope you get to do something fun.

Pastel Bunnies

Here is a card I made for last Easter, that never got posted.  I created this using the negative space from Lil Inker bunny die cuts.  It made a great stencil!  I sponged on some soft colored inks and then ran the panel through the Cuttlebug in a Dotted Swiss embossing folder.  Pearls were added for eyes. The rest of the card includes a white base and random scraps from my paper bin.

Just a quick post this morning.  Time to get ready for a fun Monday at work!  Thanks for stopping by!

March Birthstone.....

I own a few aquamarine stones and each is a different shade.  So, I took this opportunity to blend quite a few colors for this challenge.

The Challenge I would like to enter my card into is at Little Red Wagon, #383, Aquamarine.

I started with a base of Turquoise Sea from Gina K. Designs.  Next came a layer of white, followed by a piece of Glossy card stock.  To the glossy, I applied SU! reinkers on baby wipe.  I used many shades.  Next I used a  random flourish in Island Indigo.  My sentiment was stamped in Island Indigo and is from Unity Stamps.  It was cut out using MFT stitched ovals, popped to the card front and gems were added for sparkle.

I hope you are enjoying you're weekend, and finding a wee bit of ti
me to get your craft on.

My card was featured for Challenge 383.  Thanks!

A Sketch in Green

Eek!  I found this Doxie image on Pinterest and knew I had to turn it into something.  I just love this little dog!  I printed the image and cut it out with my Lil Inker stitched rectangles.  I used a little shamrock stamp which I stamped in Cottage Ivy Memento ink, covered with Wink of Stella, and cut with a Gina Marie stitched circle.  As for my papers, I use a  Bazzill card base and the color is lizard.
The designer papers are from a pad by K & Co. of all greens.  A few green gems were added for more sparkle.

I would like to enter this over at Tuesday Morning Sketches # 392.  Here is the sketch.

I would also like to enter this at 4 Crafty Chicks #340 Green.

Well, the flowers better tuck their little heads under their leaves and stay warm for the next couple days.  This is the craziest weather I can remember.  Stay warm and be crafty!

Dogwoods

I used my Unity KOM from January 2014 to create this soft paper pieced card.  My card base is crumb cake, and I used snips of papers from my scrap bin to do my background and paper piecing.  I added a strand of spring green pearls to finish off my butterfly.

I would like to enter this card at Shopping Our Stash #292, a color palette.

Also, since I used snippets I will send this over to Pixie's Snippets Playground weeks 269 & 270.

Hope all is well in your little part of the world, and that
you are getting your craft on!
