What's Old is New Again!

Happy Tuesday!  I was one of the lucky people that did not have to go to work today.  After a few chores, I decided to try my hand at the newest sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  They are revisiting a sketch from the past so this is # 437-396.

I started with a card base of Bazzill card stock in Blue Calypso, and designer paper by Crate Paper, and designer Maggie Holmes called Chasing Dreams.  I ran a scrap of white card through the Cuttlebug with a plaid embossing folder, layered on 2 sizes of stitched hearts, and added a hand cut banner with an SU Teeny Tiny Wish sentiment.  I also used an SU tiny heart punch for my 3 little embellishment at the top of the card.  I made the same card, but turned it into a sympathy card, to use my extras.

Hope you have a great rest to your week.  Thanks for stopping by, as I have been quite the slacker lately.

TMS 435....A Sketch Revisited

Hope everyone is doing well!  Today I have a card that was created for the current Tuesday Morning Sketch.  It is one that was created by Janice Melton, part of the design team.  It is simple and yet there is so much you can do with it.

I started with a white card base, added a layer of Bazzill Basic Gold Foil, and then prepared a panel of flowers, stamped with Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch stamps.  I stamped them in Galaxy Gold, Brilliance Pigment ink and embossed them with clear ep.  I added another layer of the gold foil which then was topped with a Lil Inker Stitched Rectangle die panel.  I left it in the die and rubbed a bit of the gold ink around the inside edges.  I then stamped a couple extra posies and clear embossed those also.  Those were colored with Copic and the centers were rubbed with a dirty baby wipe that I had used to clean my sentiment.  The sentiment is also HFC, and is from the Swirly Autumn Leaves set.   Hmmmm.  My soft suede ink took on a reddish cast, so I hit the flower center and did a random rub on my panels to create a rosy glow.  I added a tiny bow, a few gems and my flag strips that are the same foil.

Don't think I forgot anything... LOL!  Hope your weather is not too sever.  We are 64 degrees and raining.  Tomorrow we drop 30 degrees.  Crazy weather!

May I also wish the Eagles much luck in tomorrows playoff game!  GO EAGLES!

Embossing with Watercolor

Here is a card that I created for my DD's birthday, last year.  It is almost time for her birthday, again!  I used a beautiful sentiment and flower stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  The flowers were stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder, on water color paper.  I watered down some Distress Inks, and with a water brush, tried to make a pleasing border around the edge.  Also, my papers are just scraps from my bin, which I combined to make some eye catching patterns.  The butterflies were punched with a MS punch and embellished with assorted pearls and metal studs.  The oval die is from Lil Inker.

I would like to enter my card at the following:
