Napkin Holder Cover
It is time for another House Mouse and Friends Challenge. This is #290 and is an Anything Goes with the Option of Anything But a Card. Well, this looks like a card, right? Nope, wrong! It is a napkin holder cover. You would start with an idea for a card but then change it up!
First, when you hit your local dollar store, look for the clear plastic napkin holders. These also make really cute gifts, when you doodle them up! Next you will need an A2 envelope and seal the flap shut. Take off about 1/16 of an inch on the bottom so that it slits open. Now you get to decorate. If you want to do both sides, you will need a second envelope. Slide your creation down over the sides of the holders and add napkins.
For this I used:
Designer paper- from SU! and their Gingham Gala collection. My white is 110 lb cs.
Stamps- are Raining Confetti and Laughter & Love.
Die- is Gina Marie stitched squares
Ribbon- is SU!
Inks- are Crushed Curry and Balmy Blue
Embellishment- Wink of Stella and Nuvo Drops in Duck Egg Blue and Dandelion Yellow
Hard to believe how you blink, and the week i half over. Hope everyone is having a good one.

Finally Used One!
The other day, I created a card in the morning, but felt like continuing to craft. I pulled out a Paper Pumpkin kit from SU, which Was gifted to me a couple years ago. This is July of 2017. You see, my DD went to one of those raffle nights and she won a 3 month subscription. She has not been crafting, so she had them sent to me. This was my first time using one and was very surprised that it made 2 of each card! I have 2 more to try, so I do not want to pass judgement until I have made the others. I actually found this a wee bit stressful to do! LOL! They do give you plenty of supplies and now you have extra adhesive and ink cubes to use elsewhere. I saved them for retirement (as I have all of my hoarded supplies) so it is time to use them! Sorry for the shadow in my photo. I have yet to find a space for my photo booth!
Today we are expecting another round of heavy storms with the chances of a tornado. Very glad that hubby is working from home, today! I never mind being on my own, except during bad weather. So, if you are on the east coast, be safe, and batten down the hatches!

Riding by.....
I created this yesterday, with a stamped image I found in my stash. I must have stamped it a bit ago when I had the stamp set out, and I forgot to use it. This adorable set is from Darcie's, and is called Lookie Here! I just love this little duck. I remember I got this at a show, and it also has tin faces you can mount over to make it 3D.
Anyway, I am glad I got to use it up. Another thing I found while unpacking are my big bag of doilies. They always add so much texture. Coloring was done with Copics, and I fussy cut and popped things up. The card base is from a tablet of scored bases by Pebbles. For embellishments I used sequins, gems for my flower centers, a stardust pen for a bit more sparkle, and my pink twine bow.
I plan on personalizing this when I figure who will receive it, as a Mother's Day card.
Since I used so many bits, I would like to enter this at Pixie's Snippets Playground #350. Another great challenge I have not played in a long time.
Well, it is almost the weekend, again. It just keeps zooming by. Have a great day and remember to look for the bright spots!

Shell-A-Brate
Look out, I have been on a roll! LOL! This card started when I unpacked an embossing folder with pretty shells. I decided on colors in Crumb Cake and Powder pink SU ink. I inked my folder with bits of both color and liked what I saw.
Found my PSX shell stamp, from many moons ago. and washed it a bit with a water brush. My die cuts were cut from scraps of card and the dies are from Gina Marie. I just love her marine life dies! This uses the seaweed, starfish, and coral dies. The sentiments were just grabbed from here and there, but I think they came together nicely. Embellishments are metallic gold striped Washi and diamond Stickles.
How about I take this card over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is Anything Goes!
I think that retirement now gives me the option to take my time each day creating cards and do them with specific people in mind. Life is good!

In Our Thoughts......
Well, isn't it funny how you can see a pretty piece of paper, and it inspires you to create something? That is what happened here! A while ago, my DD and I exchanged our scraps and this piece was in her's. I pulled it out and after staring at it for a bit, decided to also pull out my unused stamp set called Lasting Lily. The sentiments in this set are so beautiful, as are the stamps
.
I stamped in colors of SU ink that consisted of Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Baja Blue and Rich Razzleberry. After stamping, I cut both pieces out with MFT in and out stitched ovals. I used a water brush to color most of the flowers and leaves and then added a few touches of Copic marker.
I would like to enter this over at the Through The Craft Room Door site where it is anything goes.
Plus I shall take this over to the challenge at The House That Stamps Built, which is Anything Goes, also.
As much as I am not thrilled making sympathy cards, I do like how this one came out! Hope everyone is having a Terrific Tuesday!

A Spring Day!
It is a lovely spring day, and so I thought I would get out one of my House Mouse stamps called Tin Can Shower. I thought it would work great for the the Spring option at the House Mouse and Friends Challenge #289, hosted by Sue Kment. I have not played here and ages, and have really missed doing challenges. I found some great stamps after the move and unpacking in my new craft room!
I made the card mostly monochromatic using some designer papers and inks that are in the Bermuda Bay color range. I used a scalloped die to cut out my image and sponged the edges. There are also die cuts used that were gifts and they include my vines, fence, and oval for sentiment. The sentiment is from a Spring Sentiment set by Stampendous. I added tiny Prima flowers and pearls from Eyelet Outlet.
Hope everyone is starting their week off on the right foot! Anymore, any day with sunshine is a good day!

Another Birthday?
Today I have a cute card I made for someones upcoming birthday. I found this adorable mouse in my mess here, and just wanted to play and color it up. I cut it with my Gina Marie fishtail banner dies and did a second layer with a scrap of Bazzil card. The gingham is from Gingham Gala designer paper at SU!, as are the bow and sequins. Sponging is Balmy Blue with Copics doing the coloring!
Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend. Yesterday, we took a ride to find our local beach resort and made a few stops at places like Home Goods and Bed Bath & Beyond, since we do not have those in our area. Found some great bargains! Thanks for the visit!

Peeps!
Had a fun time creating this card today, using some of my older stuff that is now within reach! 4 different punches, and a stamp set that I was gifted make this card super cute! Pulled out my scalloped circle and 1 3/8 circle from SU! Also used my Martha branch punch and a one that has no name, but looks like rose leaves. The stamp set is from Technique Tuesday, I was told. I added some Got Flowers from Prima, some gems, and a satin bow. Sponging is done with Melon Mambo ink, also SU. My card base is sweet corn card from Gina K. , with a layer of white and topped with a scrap of designer from who knows... LOL! Yes, my name is Mary Anne, and I am a paper hoarder.
Hope everyone is having a good week. Hubby actually had to leave the house for work today, and it is amazing all I have gotten done!

A Little Easter Wish!
Today I have a card that I made this week to replenish my Easter stash. I bought this SU, Ears To You stamp a few years back and I always love the cards that it makes. Whether you do the bunnies all one color or do each of them different, they always come out nice and crisp. They were cut out with a Gina Marie stitched Square die. I added some ribbon from the latest Sale-A-Bration catty along with matching sequins. The back ground paper was pulled from my scrap bin and the embossed piece I believe is Anna Griffin, from a friend. I am thinking my ink used is Lemon Lime Twist.
Anyway, I figured I should sneak in a couple of Easter cards, before the holiday zooms by and goes poof. Thanks for taking a look! Enjoy the upcoming weekend. Hope your Easter week is progressing nicely!

By The Sea
Today was the first day that I got to ink and color for no reason. Well that is not true, actually I made some Father's Day cards, to try and get a jump on things.
I pulled out an older set from Gina K. that was illustrated by Theresa Momber, called By The Sea. I made white bases with Smokey Slate panels and designer print backgrounds from Pinterest. All the paper I own and nothing suited... go figure. Images and sentiment were stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black ink, and colored with Copic markers. The sky was sponged with Baja Breeze ink from SU, and some matching Dewdrops were added as embellishments.
That is more then I thought I would be doing today, so I consider it a bonus! Thanks for the visit and if you are in the path of this upcoming crazy weather, be safe!

New Baby Coming Soon!
Nope, not my kids, but my sweet niece! She just announced she is due in October. How happy for them!
Now as I have not found my stamp room, yet, making a card was quite a chore. Here is what I used:
Paper: Ivory base with Graphic 45 double sided designer from their Precious Memories
Collection. It has great cut aparts on one side and the fun plaid on the other.
Stamps: Unity, Prego/ Good Luck and and the little lamb from Meow. Purr. Baa.
Inks: Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick and Salty Ocean.
Embellishments: SU organza ribbon, and Nuvo Drops in Bubblegum Blush, Caribbean Ocean,
and White Blizzard. There is scotch foam tape to pop everything up.
There is a bit of sponging and I also used the water brush with my inks.
It sure felt good to create something, and I sure hope I get things in place soon! Thanks for looking!
