Another Tuesday is here!
Today it is time for a new Tuesday Morning Sketch #413! I had a mess of wintery type stamps out on my desk, and decided to work with them, and figure them into my sketch for this week. The twist of this week is to add stamping. I did flip my oval for a horizontal card.
I used a white base, a layer of Bazzill card in a turquoise blue, and a half sheet of designer paper from American Crafts NOEL pad..My stamps have been in my collection for a long time. I purchased an entire collection on Ebay, many years ago, and they were all unmounted and I have no clue who the makes is. They are the fishing penguin, and the igloo. The oval and stitched vally dies which used, afre from MFT. My sentiment is from SU!. I did some sponging and most coloring was done with colored pencils and mineral spirits. Metallic silver was added to the front doorway, and I scattered a few spare snowflakes with pearls to the sky. I use Martha S. shaker snow and a tiny bow to finish things off.
It always makes me feel so good to use things from my stash, and this is one of those fun cards!
Thank you kindly for your visit!

Let's See Some Stars.
I recently acquired this adorable stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas, called Wish. How very fitting that my very first card with it, uses lots of twinkling stars. I stamped my image and sentiment in Hero Arts Intense Black ink, and colored with color pencils and ms. My designer papers were scraps from my bin. I used a stencil to add some dots to the corners, and an SU! tiny star punch for my extras. The only other item used are some diamond Stickles for sparkle!
I would like to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is called We're Seeing Stars!
This crazy PA weather has gone from blazing heat to tropical downpours. Next, I am expecting summer to leap into an early Fall. Hope things are more normal where you are. I appreciate your visiting. Keep cool!

A Little Bit of Christmas!
So they call it Christmas in July... quite the struggle, since we have had temps ranging from 90 to over 100 degrees. It is a struggle to get this old body functioning!
Today I have a card which will fit into a few challenges. It started with a white base card and then I added a layer of holiday designer paper from The Hot Cocoa collection by American Crafts. Using my stitched circle dies, I cut two, one in black and the other out of watercolor paper. I sprinkled on Scarlet Brusho's. I cut my sentiment stamp from IO from the same piece. The circle was then stamped with the very classic SU set called Lovely As A Tree, and assembled with a Doodlebug Paper Frill between the circles. I cut the Memory Box deer family from white card and placed them over my circles, using a red scrap as an anchor. My embellishments are gold sequins, and aglitter sticker from Martha.
I would like to enter this at the following:
Cardz for Guyz #174: Christmas in July
Double D Challenges: B & W w/a Pop of Color.... mine is red!
Little Red Wagon # 403: Christmas in July
I hope you enjoy what I have made and I appreciate your visits and comments!

A New Card for TMS!
I am trying very hard to be faithful to doing Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week is #412. This week, it was a tough one for me, but I think I like the end result. The added twist to the sketch is to use embellishments.
The background was created using a fun new die and then placing paper behind to shine through all the holes. I then took strips of all coordinating papers from my paper pad to create some banners. That pad is the American Craft, Spring paper pad. The sentiment was stamped with Tranquil Tide, SU ink and layered on 2 SU punches. The sentiment is from the Hot Off the Press, Thank You stamp set. For my embellishment, I scattered little enamel hearts, from Chickaniddy, called
Twirly Girly.
We have been in the grips of a nasty heat wave here in PA. It is kind of hard to motivate or stay focused on any one thing. Hope you are staying cool, wherever you are. Remember not to take those doggies on car rides in this, and watch their bare tootsies on hot sidewalks.

Thanks!
Today I have a card created for the Little Red Wagon Challenge #402 , called Thanks Bunches. I needed a thanks for for a kindness bestowed on our household this weekend, so this was perfect!
This card was made using Brusho powders to color all of my die cuts. My sentiment is from Hot Off the Press. The designer paper is from a holiday pad, but I thought it made the images pop, so I went with it. As for the dies, the sun and clouds are Lil Inkers, the trees are Lawn Fawn, my bunny is IO, and as for the swallow, he came from Ebay. Dimensionals were used to create depth.
That is it for me today. Happy Monday! I need to head back to work, although I am not feeling it. Enjoy!

I Love Plaid!
Sometimes I think that when I get a new pad of paper, I immediately use that one single sheet of plaid that the throw in as a token. Plaid just seems to make everything right with the world.
Today I created a card that is a little girly, but still incorporates the use of plaid. My card will be entered over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Use Plaid.
I started with an A2 white card base, and then added papers from the American Craft Spring collection. The ivy trail was cut from a scrap of green 2x. The stamp and sentiment I used are something called small stamps from Hot Off the Presses. For accents I added Petaloo flowers and a pair of Jolee's sunglasses, to truly look like a European vacation!
Well last night was interesting with heavy storms and the TV beeping away for tornado warnings. We only got the heavy rain, thank goodness. Guess we ill see what we are in for today. Thanks for visiting, and have a fantastic Friday!

A Little Bit of Christmas
Good morning, my crafty friends! Today I have a card, created for the Tuesday Morning Sketches, #411. It is a classic sketch with a twist of adding Christmas.
My own little twist is that I have no clue who designed this stamp. I won it from a challenge in the UK and it was permanently attached to a rocker block. It stamps very well. I also used some mirrored silver card stock, ribbon with silver edging, and a red Doodlebug Paper Frill. The image was stamped in Real Red ink by SU!. Designer paper is from the NOEL collection by American Crafts.
Hiding from the heat, today. Hope to do lots of stamping! Thanks for the visit.

Cardz 4 Guyz
Today I have a card I would like to enter into the challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz, # 173, called Beside the Sea.
I started with a white card base, and some beautiful blue chevron paper from Heidi Swapp, with no name. The next grungy layer was printed. I cut my Sailboat die and shell border dies from scraps. The seagulls are from Impression Obsession, and I added a few wraps of hemp twine as an accent.
The sentiment will be added to the inside later, when I see what I will use it for.
We are heading into a stretch of oppressive heat, so it will be time to run from the AC to the car and back. Keep cool, and I will check in soon!

Be Happy!
Happy Saturday. Last night storms brought a beautiful rainbow, so there is no reason not to try and be happy. I created this card for someone who needs a little cheering up. When I got started, I remembered the new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. You are also to use a die cut to create it.
This card came together fairly quick. I used 3 colors of card stock, my new Emoji dies from ebay, and a sentiment stamp from Print Works (2000). The swirls were created with a stubby from Stamps by Judith, and I added some yellow sequins for interest.
Hope all is happy in you're little part of the world. Have a blessed Saturday, and I shall see you soon.

Be A Mermaid!
Happy Friday to all my stamping friends. It is one rainy day here, so I may do a couple of posts to keep myself sane.
Today I have a card created with a Sheena Douglass stamp set, called Sea View. It is a gorgeous set, and was free inside Creative Stamping magazine. All stamps are from the set, and the seagulls are from Impression Obsession. The background paper is from the Hello Sunshine collection by Bo Bunny. The coloring is quite the mixture of pencils, markers, and ink pads. I added a little Wink of Stella clear to the mermaids tail and the ocean waves. (sorry it is hard to see)
I will be entering this over at Little Red Wagon #401, which is Wet and Wild. My Mermaid looks a little wild, and the ocean sure is wet.
We were thinking of taking a ride to the Creating Keepsakes Convention, in Lancaster, today. This rain shows no signs of cutting us a break. Actually I should not complain, as it will save me money. LOL!

Pastel Party
I decided to join in on the Pastel Party over at Double D Challenges. I have had this card made since I found out I need a 30's celebration card, for this year. I ended up making 2 and was waiting for the perfect challenge.
My background paper is from Bo Bunny's Butterfly Kisses collection. I then water colored a stitched rectangle panel from Lil Inkers. Added a few watercolor die cuts and numbers, and pastel ribbon from my stash. The sentiment is a pre-printed one from a paper collection. The final embellishment are the enamel dots from SU!
I want to thank my friend for the airplane and clouds she sent me. They were such fun to water color. Thanks for the visit. I hope that everyone that celebrated, had a fantastic 4th of July!

Happy 4TH!
Okay, so I am a day early. I am sure you are all doing some sort of celebrating, by now! I went searching through my file of cards to post later and I found this appropriate creation. Can't even tell you when I created it.
I know that it uses Clear Dollar stamps, a Memory Box die, some patriotic designer paper, from my stash, and a bit of Stickles and stars!
Going to try a new to me challenge over at Dragonfly Journeys #95, which is red, white and blue-tiful!
Please have a very safe celebration, and remember to keep those pets safe and secure. They do not understand fireworks!
