Hoppin By......
Just wanted to stop by and wish all of you Leap Day babies, a happy day! This little froggie has to be one of the very first stamps I bought. We will not talk about how many years ago that was. He is from Alias, Smith, and Rowe Stamp Co, Las Vegas. I used all scraps from my bin on a white card base. I even drug out my tub of letter stamps for the sentiments. Gosh, I had to blow off the dust! My embellishments are olive pearls, bakers twine, and butterfly punches from MS. Coloring was done with Copic Markers. Oh, I can't forget the K&Co sticky paper lace I added.
That is it for me this afternoon. I should be working on wedding chores, but it is pouring rain by the buckets, and I can't get motivated. I was thinking that making a pot of PA Dutch Potato Soup would be more productive. Yum! Now mind you, I am not complaining about the rain, as it is snowing not too far north of me. Enjoy!
BTW, do you watch American Idol? Who do you like so far?

Assignment Birthday Card
This months Rose Challenge is brought to us by Kez. We have all had such busy lives lately, and she thought we could use an extra birthday card for our stash. I decided to create one for my BIL. Manly cards can really challenge me, so I went for it.
My base layer is Pure Luxury card stock color called Little Boy Blue, from Gina K. Designs. The designer papers are Basic Grey , Granola, in two patterns. I added two rows of stitched ribbon, also from Gina K.
My image is a digi from Beccy's Place, called Nell's Cottage. I colored it with Copic Markers, cut it out with a Spellbinders Nestabitities die called Labels Nine, and sponged the edges with Distress Ink. The "brother" sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps. For embellishments, I added a brown bear, and pine tree. They are both flatback buttons. There is a twine bow behind the tree, to add a rustic look.
Please be sure to visit the other Roses in our bouquet, to see what they have created this month. Links to their blogs can be found on my sidebar. I always appreciate when you stop by, and I treasure each comment that is left.

Get Your Flair On With Friends, Unity Style!
It's Friday again! How does that happen so quickly? You can just hear the weeks zooming by. It is time to visit, and be inspired by all of the Unity creations, posted for our viewing pleasure. Wowzer, this is some major talent! Please visit the Unity blog, for today's Friends with Flair lineup.
This week, I want to share the card I created for my DIL-to-be's shower, this past weekend. I used my new February Unity KOM, {Lucky To Have You}. When I saw that adorable umbrella, I just knew I would be using it. I stamped with VersaFine onyx black and colored with a red Copic. Those little umbrellas were also stamped on the solid wrap for her gift. Of course I could not leave out the adorable raindrop background and the birds in cloud stamps, which are also included in the kit. The sentiment I added was a generic. The colors are Pool Party SU!, Prawn, and White. The embossing folder is SU!, and embellishments are Stickles, ribbon, and a stitched button.
Thanks for visiting. Hope you have a stellar weekend, full of lots of crafty time!

My card is quite the mix up of products, but the star of the show is one of my very favorite House Mouse stamps called "Comin' Down". Whether you stamp this stamp directly to a background, or cut it out for a dimensional effect, it never let's you down.
Items used are:
Stamps: House Mouse, clouds by Art Impressions, sentiment by Inkadinkadoo
Papers: generic white card stock, colors by Basic Grey
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black
Die: Die-namics by MFT, skyline border
Coloring: Copic Markers
Embossing : Clear Detail by Stampendous
Punch: 1 3/8 inch circle from SU!
Embellishment: Stickles Diamond
This little mouse may be dropping into a city near you! Lol!
Can't even believe it is Thursday already! Hope all is well with you. Looking forward to a calm weekend around here. Let me leave you with a cute picture from my DIL-to-be's shower last Sunday! A good time was had by all. The bridal party did an amazing job, and pulled off a huge surprise with the help of my DS.
Less then 60 days now until we have Colleen officially in our family!

Baby Cards
Happy Monday morning, friends! I have had a couple of baby cards I created, that have just been lying here, waiting to be photographed. I used digital images from A Day For Daisies. They are some of the sweetest images ever!
My first card uses an image called Babies Smile. I used white card stock and designer paper from Prima, called The First Blush. I cut out my image that was colored with Copic Markers, using the Spellbinders Peony Dies, and then backed it with a larger layer of Pumpkin Spice Pure Luxury cs. My sentiment was a clear stamp from an unknown set. The embellishments were a piece of paper doily, button, and embroidery floss.
Card two, is made with an image called Sleeping Flower. I started with a ivory, A2 blank, a layer of Bazzill cs, and then designer paper from K&Co's Sweet Nectar collection. Again, my image was colored with Copics. Sponging was done with VersaMagic ink. Spellbinders used are Labels Twenty-Two, and Parisian Motifs. I added a tag from My Minds Eye, some Stickles, a dotted swiss ribbon in lime, and a tiny puffed heart from K&Co's Smitten collection.
I understand that some of my friends were slammed by the snow that ended up staying south of us. Sorry :( , I worried quietly about this storm all of last week, knowing I had to attend my DIL-To-Be's surprise shower in South Jersey, on Sunday. It ended up a beautiful day! I hope to post some photos soon.

Time to Share with Unity!
Hi everyone! It is Friday, so it must be Friends with Flair time at Unity! Just needed to finish up the Valentine's theme for the year. I created this wrapping paper and tags for boxes of candy I gave to my kids. A little ink and the December and January Kits of the Month, created these quick little gifts.
I added some paper doilies, and little odds and ends that were laying on my desk. Very simple, but made with love. Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day! It was quiet here and included a pizza (shhhhh).
Enjoy your weekend!

Unity KOM Sketch Challenge
This will be a first for me. With this challenge you may use ANY of the Unity KOM stamps sets to create using the supplied sketch. Here it is! Check out all the great creations that have been entered so far in the KOM Sketch Challenge!
I opted to use the April 2011 KOM called Small Things Matter Most.
My base is Island Indigo from SU! layered with white, and designer paper from Basic Grey's Lime Ricky.
I stamped my glasses with Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade inks, and sponged my sentiment base with Calypso Coral.
The glasses were fussy cut and popped up with foam. I applied 3D Crystal Lacquer to the lenses and sprinkled them with very fine glitter.
Many of my friends have been having blogger issues. This morning, when I went to delete a blog I follow from my sidebar, because they had removed it, I ended up deleting ALL of the blogs I follow. I have gotten most of them back, but If you see yours has disappeared, you are not being deleted.
Had a fantastic trip to celebrate my DD's birthday! It was short, but sweet. We had a yummy lunch and celebrated with a cupcake dessert. She received lots of crafty gifts, with a flower and fruit delivery as an added surprise. Thank you God for the better then expected weather and the safe trip!

Yep, More Love Cards!
I swore I was done making cards for this holiday, but I started printing out digis with my new printer and had a fun day coloring. These digital images are from Meljen's Designs. There are freebies offered on a regular basis and I just adore the designs!
The first card is called Love Bunnies, and could actually be used for other than Valentines Day. My base is Ocean Mist Pure Luxury card stock, with layers of White and Grass Green cs, as well. The designer paper is from K&Co's Sweet Nectar collection. Coloring is done with Copics and sponging is with VersaMagic ink. The flower is my first attempt at making my own out of fabric. I have never cut fabric with a Nestabilities die before and was surprised it actually worked. I had to loosen it in a couple tiny spots, but I was pleased. I also loved that when I handled it, the edges started to fray. I spiral cut my scalloped circle, and started winding it to a sticky circle I punched out. My center is made from scrap pearls (broken necklace) and Gala Glitz. I used Beacon's 3 in1, quick grab glue, globbed in the center.
I would like to enter this card in Meljen's Challenge #96, to use pastels.
Card two has a Meljen's Design image that is called Love. Aren't these little mice just too cute? For this card, I started with a White cards base, layered with Soft Suede from SU! The designer paper is again from the Sweet Nectar collection. The image was colored with Copics, sponged with VersaMagic, and cut out with Spellbinders Lacy Ovals die. I add assorted ribbons, a Prima flower, puffy sticker heart, and an adorable lock charm I recently won.
Geeze, it sure felt good to use some of the digital images I have saved on this poor old computer. I really need to back up all of these treasures! Ugh! Thanks for stopping around. We are having a pretty snow this morning in my part of PA. The perfect snow, covering the grass, and leaving the roads bare. Great day for crafting!

It's Friday! Let's Hop!
I have really started looking forward to the Unity Friday Friend's with Flair hop each week. I know I have been a bit scarce lately, so I have to make the most of the posts I do get completed. I first want to apologize to my DD for posting her birthday card early. Sorry kiddo, you can touch the real one on Sunday.
I started with my December 2011 KOM, Filled With Love.
I created the circle sentiment on the bottom with letter stamps from the $1 bin at Mike's and my smallest SU! circle punch.
card stock: Moonlit Fog Pure Luxury, purple textured is Bazzill Basics called Grape Jelly, white
inks: Dusty Concord Distress Ink, Memento London Fog
Copics: V20, C3
embellishments: vintage ric rac, metal flower finding, dusty purple sticky back pearl
I am loving how this came out, and I sure hope she does too. Maybe I will get lucky and she won't peek! Have a fantastic Friday everyone! Time to go to work.

Good Morning
Heidi Ho, friends! Hope all is well in your little part of the world! I do want to apologize to the folks that still can not comment on my blog. I just don't know why. Glad you figured out that you can do it under reply. They just can't keep a good blogger down!
Today I want to share a card I made for someone who quite suddenly landed in the hospital. I am sure I probably had an appropriate card in my stash, but I wanted something fresh, new, and uplifting!
This flower digi has been on my desk for a week. We used it as a test for my new printer. It has no designer attached. I am so glad that many of the designers now put their name in the file link so we can keep them together or just plain old give them credit.
card stock: Pure Luxury from Gina K.
stamps: Clear Dollar
designer paper: K&Co
ink: Distress Ink in Milled Lavender and Iced Spruce.
coloring: Copic Markers
embellishments: pink gingham ribbon, Stickles
That is it for me this morning. For those of you who also follow my DD's blog, she is on week 2 of working until bedtime. Poor thing just wants to stamp! Don't give up on her, she will return! Time to hit the shower, and get to work!
