TMS 442
This card uses an assortment of dies, ribbon, flowers and gems. I did so enjoy the sketch this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches #442. I added some Asian paper that I printed from Pinterest, and lots of scraps of solids from the bin.
I hope you can see the sketch in my creation! I may have gotten a bit carried away. LOL!
How can it possibly be Wednesday again! Yikes! Enjoy the second half of your week.

Expanding My Horizions
We all do it... we get stuck in a rut, take the easy way out, say next time. Well today I did a different fold just to tell myself I could. Today we visited the Easel Fold! It is one of the easier folds to do, but I never use it.
I am quite pleased at how this came out. Using lots of things that have been hiding in my stash, makes me very happy! I dug through my Spellbinders dies and found Labels 17 dies. Using 2 sizes, I cut my panels. I sponged all my edges with River Rock ink by SU. Next I took the smaller of the 2 panels and stamped it with my Hardwood background stamp for SU, using Memento Rich Cocoa.
Now I know we have all seen some of these gorgeous 12x12 designer papers that have one side full of little ATC size panels. I have fallen in love with and bought a few. After I cut them apart, they seem to sit on my desk and not get used. Not this time! I grabbed one that reminded me that Spring is on it's way, and added it with a tilt to my wood layer. I got out the Little Fairies set from The Greeting Farm, and colored one of the little cuties, giving her sparkly wings. I also added some Petaloo pink flowers for dimension. The inside sentiment is from the same set. I created the stopper with random cutouts I found on my desk and added a flower on top!
If you are needing a lesson on Easel Cards, check out Pinterest or Splitcoast Stampers for some great tutorials.
I will be entering this over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is Make Your Own Background.
Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day Creation.
So glad I had a day off today! Now I can get caught up on some orders and a great sketch challenge.
I am so happy to make a card for the TMS #441. Wow, some of the examples are enough to blow you away. Just gorgeous. I knew I had to come up with something a little fresh.
Supply list:
Paper: Wooden designer is from a small pad of Ms. Sparkle from JoAnn's. The dark green is from Bazzill, white is scrap card stock, and my words are fussy cut from designer paper by American Craft's Pink Paislee collection.
Dies: Lily of the Valley and stitched circles from Gina Marie.
Ink: for sponging my circle Coastal Cabana from SU. I also sponged a wee bit of Twisted Citron, Oxide to my leaves.
To get my flowers white I tried a few things, but settled on white acrylic paint on a cotton swab to color. Then each was topped with Glossy Accents. A few turquoise pearls and a small satin bow, finish it off. I don't usually show the insides of my cards but it completed the word thought, and I felt necessary.

Underwater Wishes
I am just going to leave this card here, for whomever finds it, and fill in the details when I return from work! LOL!
How very kind you all are! I am back from work, and shall try and give an explanation of what was used.
Paper: Bazzill embossed card stock! A printed paper from Pinterest and a band through the center of inked softness. There are of course bits of white card stock from the eternal scrap heap.
Die: One I purchased from Ebay which is rounded corner rectangle with stitching.
Inks: Copic, Intense Black ink by Hero Arts, Soft Sky from SU, and some colors of Distress Oxides. Yep I combined them all!
Stamps: set that was free in a magazine and is done by Sheena Douglass, called the Sea View Collection.
Embellishments: Assorted sequins to bring out the colors.Oops, can't forget that Pearl Pen I use to create the oysters prize!
It was very hard to concentrate with the heavenly spring like air, streaming in the bay doors at work! I made it through! Thanks again for stopping by.

Gazing!
Gracious good day to all of you! So, this card was inspired by a pack of 12x12 paper I bought on Saturday. Hubby took me for a quick drive to Tuesday Mornings, before the snow started falling. Guess he was worried about me feeling like a shut in. The paper is from American Crafts, and is called Star Shine. The sheet is so large that I was able to get 2 large and 2 medium hearts out of the decorative center. The rest of the sheet is just navy.
I decided to use my stitched heart dies to create their sky scape. I added 2 of the critters from Lawn Fawn's Upon A Star set, as well as the little shooting star. The sentiment is also from the same set, and was embossed in white. My card base is a dark charcoal, and added a strip of that left over navy to ground my animals. They were stamped in Midnight Muse in by SU.
So, now I have 23 more sheets of that fun paper, all for $2.99! Glad it is double sided and will give me extra uses. LOL! Have a great start to your week.

This is a card that was a blast to make! It's one that just happened. I was actually playing with colors to create a shower card, and instead I ended up with a cute St Patty's Day card.
Here is what I used:
Papers: Lots of white card stock and a scrap of striped designer paper from Heidi Swapp
Inks: Distress Oxides in Salty Ocean, Lucky Clover, and Wilted Violet- Plus Hero Arts Intense Black
Stencil: Darice, Spiral Swirl
Dies: Stitched Rectangles, Stitched Stars
Punch: Mini Heart from SU to form my shammrock
Stamps: Sentiment from Repeat Impressions. Little Frog from the $1 bin at Mike's
Embellishments: Recollections stars and gems
We had a real pretty snow last night. It is stuck to the trees and everything is fluffy. All the roads are melted, already and other than brushing off the cars, it is minimal clean up! Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

A Little Note Card
After seeing this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches #440, which is a revisit of sketch # 415, I knew I had recently made a card to fit that bill. It uses the MFT stitched scalloped basic edges die and the Spellbinders foliage dies. I used a scrap of herring bone designer paper to cut out my pine branches, and I think it gave them a unique look. I added a wee bit of inking through the pine cone die with some Unicorn White ink, to create accents.
There are some tiny gems and a twine bow to finish this one off.
We are expecting snow this weekend, so I may get a long stretch at my craft table. This week was pretty much spent going from work to dinner to bed. Hope you have a great weekend!

365 Days
Hi folks! Today I have a card created for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is to add a Diecut.
My card uses Wooden designer paper from JoAnn's Fabrics as a background. I cut a white stitched postage layer with my Big Shot and stenciled it with Distress Oxide Inks, in Frayed Burlap and Wild Honey. There is also Antique Linen on the edges for distressing. My stencils are from Kaiser Craft {Blossom} and The Crafters Workshop {Mini Chicken Wire Reversed}. My sun is a die from Lil Inker and that sweet bee is from Honey Bee Stamps and their Build a Bee set. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions and I added a few little gems from my stash.I also added some glossy Accents and Sakura Stardust pen.
Thanks so much for the visit, and Ihope to see you again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day 2018
Well, as the card says, "Love is in the Air". Hope you have a special day planned with the one you hold near and dear. Sounds like Jim has to work late today, so he was sweet and surprised me with flowers last night. That was so unexpected!
Today my card is made up of a couple die cuts, and papers from a super cute pad I found at Hobby Lobby. To be honest, I let the paper do all of the work. The little puffy face was a pack of stickers that they had paired with the paper pads.
I do believe I will enter this over at Little Red Wagon #433 which is Luuurve (love).
On a more somber note.... My DD was diagnosed with the flu, yesterday. Man this stuff is hitting the country hard! Just hoping she gets through this without my GS catching it. Any wonder with these up and down temps! Tomorrow is 65 degrees and then Sat/Sun we expect snow. Sheesh! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Trying Something Different.....
Today I was not in the mood for making cards, so after playing around on Pinterest, I saw these cute K-Cup holders, and decided to give it a whirl. Now, anyone who knows me, knows I stink at treat holders and giftie things.
I sort of followed a link and directions that I found here, but made my own modifications, such as the SU! punch for creating a handle. The card stock is black, crumb cake and white. The designer paper with numbers is from my bin. The embossing folder used is from Ebay, and is the birthday die cut. We have hemp twine, some black gems, and the circle that was cut for the cups to fit in.
I saw some other cute ones to make, and I may try to keep these on hand for birthdays of people at work. Have a great finish to your Sunday!

Shades of Red!
Today, I am posting a second card, for a challenge I found at Little Red Wagon #423. It is called Shades of Red. Well of course I had made the perfect card for this, a little over a week ago, and just wanted to get it posted before Valentine's day is but a memory.
I am not the greatest at shaker cards, but I decided to give it a whirl. Also, my stash has tons of Washi tape and I always forget to use it. So to me this was a success, no matter how it turned out. My sequins are Hobby Lobby and papers were from The Paper Studio. The stamp set is from MFT and is called Hog Heaven. I added a paper doily and a small red satin bow.

Non Traditional Colors
Today I have a Valentine of a different sort. I tried to mix up my colors a wee bit. My card started with a white base and a layer of aqua paisley dp, from my scrap bin. I added a row of floral lace ribbon, and a paper heart doily, to anchor my image. The large sentiment is from the Unity KOM, from December 2013. It is called Happy Love Day. It was stamped in a teal ink and accents of Copic colors were added. For some interest I added a row of pink micro gems, and a smattering of green sequins nd larger pink gems.
I would like to send this one over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is It Must Be Love.
It is nice to see the sun shine, although I know it is frigid outside. Hope anyone who ventures into Philly for the E_A_G_L_E_S parade, has a fun and safe time. Have a great day!

Playing at Tuesday Morning Sketches!
This week, they are revisiting a sketch that was previously created by Janice Melton. I just had to play along! This week is is # 439, at Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Most of the papers are scraps from my stash. My center die cut is Spellbinders Labels 10. The stamp set used is from My Favorite Things, called Otterly Love You. I stamped the waves with Unicorn White ink and colored my little Otter with Copic markers. I used a piece of die cut coral that was hanging around and added some sparkle to the heart. A few sequins and a satin bow, finished this card off!
So glad I finally had time to blog. Hubby had surgery last Friday to have his thumb joint reconstructed. Life is starting to calm, and he is off the pain killers. Monday he receives a hard cast that he will sport for the next 4 weeks. We are praying for no large snow storms, as he will not be able to shovel us out. LOL! All he is worried about, is being healed for fishing season!
Thanks for the visit and have a great hump day!
