Simon Says Stamp - Have A Heart Challenge

Happy Sunday morning!  The sun is shining brightly and I can see the birds gobbling food at the feeder, as I sip my morning java.  Life is good!  The storm kind of fizzled on our end with just some ice and a layer of snow stuck on top of it.  It was however nasty in North NJ, which kept my DD from coming home to celebrate her birthday.  Her birthday has been like this since she was born.  It is a very active weather week.  I remember having to walk, on her second birthday, to the bakery, and bringing her sheet cake home on a sled!  Then there weren't many that showed for the party, so we ate cake forever.  Ahhh.... memories!

Today I would like to share a card that has a bit of heart.  It is simple in design, but oh so much fun to create.    There is also a little story that goes with this one.  The first time I took my DD to a stamp show, she was stuck in one booth for hours.  It was the Rubber Stamp Tapestry booth.  I swear she came home with a zillion sets that day!!  They are known for their peg stamps, and there is no real wrong way to play with them.   This set is called Pansy and Daisy Wreath SFL 34034.  I used assorted colors of VersaMagic inks, and just went to town.  My sentiment is an unknown.  I used a paper doily, and pearls as embellishments.

This is for the latest Simon Says Stamp Challenge, called "Have A Heart".  For some great inspiration, please check out all the fantastic heart creations that have linked up.  I have also been urged by my dear blogging friend, to link this up for the OWH, Stars and Stamps Sketch 159, for this week.  Okay, you don't have to twist my arm!   Bye for now.......

I think this is simply stunning. Love the softness you created with the wreath and the doily is the perfect bg for it. Glad it wasn't too bad your way.

Ha ha...our DD's birthday is 1-28, and my mom's was 1-18. We always had an awful time trying to plan birthday outings! Love your card, Mary Anne - it's beautiful! Love the soft colors! Thanks for sharing! (Oh, and I have a bit of 'candy' at my place today!)

This is so beautiful with those peg stamps! I've never tried using them! So sorry your DD couldn't make it home to celebrate her birthday :( Bummer! Oh well, you can plan for another day and celebrate her birthday with just as much fun on the special day you set aside!
You should link this up with the OWH sketch challenge today too - it's a perfect match for the sketch :)

Hi Mary Anne, love this card. I love those peg stamps too, have several sets (which are collecting dust, now I need to get them out again) Pretty colors and the doily is perfect behind your wreath.

Mary Ann this is so delicately beautiful. Love all the soft colors and the doily is perfect. Rubber Stamp Tapestry has been at my local stamp show several times and it's easy to spend an hour or more there. Thanks for playing!
