Simon Says Stamp - Have A Heart Challenge
Happy Sunday morning! The sun is shining brightly and I can see the birds gobbling food at the feeder, as I sip my morning java. Life is good! The storm kind of fizzled on our end with just some ice and a layer of snow stuck on top of it. It was however nasty in North NJ, which kept my DD from coming home to celebrate her birthday. Her birthday has been like this since she was born. It is a very active weather week. I remember having to walk, on her second birthday, to the bakery, and bringing her sheet cake home on a sled! Then there weren't many that showed for the party, so we ate cake forever. Ahhh.... memories!
Today I would like to share a card that has a bit of heart. It is simple in design, but oh so much fun to create. There is also a little story that goes with this one. The first time I took my DD to a stamp show, she was stuck in one booth for hours. It was the Rubber Stamp Tapestry booth. I swear she came home with a zillion sets that day!! They are known for their peg stamps, and there is no real wrong way to play with them. This set is called Pansy and Daisy Wreath SFL 34034. I used assorted colors of VersaMagic inks, and just went to town. My sentiment is an unknown. I used a paper doily, and pearls as embellishments.

This is beautiful Mary Anne.
Gorgeous job! I, too, have been stuck in the Rubber Stamp Tapestry booth. Thanks for the urge to go play with some of my pegs!
looks like some one else is having fun today, this is gorgeous!!
I think this is simply stunning. Love the softness you created with the wreath and the doily is the perfect bg for it. Glad it wasn't too bad your way.
I love your card! The colours, the built up layers and the pretty background paper. It's all so sweet!
Thank you for sharing! :)
Ha ha...our DD's birthday is 1-28, and my mom's was 1-18. We always had an awful time trying to plan birthday outings! Love your card, Mary Anne - it's beautiful! Love the soft colors! Thanks for sharing! (Oh, and I have a bit of 'candy' at my place today!)
This is so beautiful with those peg stamps! I've never tried using them! So sorry your DD couldn't make it home to celebrate her birthday :( Bummer! Oh well, you can plan for another day and celebrate her birthday with just as much fun on the special day you set aside!
You should link this up with the OWH sketch challenge today too - it's a perfect match for the sketch :)
Great card...such pretty colors! WTG!!!
What a beautiful arrangement and the doily backing it really add something so special. Sorry your DD couldn't gt home, but I'm sure you will have another special day together. Did you have her cake already this year also? If so have a piece for me. LOL
I love your colors on this card! It's so feminine.
wow, the colors are awesome. Beautiful card. I own one of these sets, haven't used it in a few years.
I love wreath images and this one's a beauty!!!! Fabulous card Mary Anne!
Very pretty -- love that background paper and the delicacy of your card! Sorry you didn't get to spend Dee's birthday with her but there will be other days -- you can eat cake then!!
Wonderful detail and great color scheme! Beautiful!!!
Mary Anne,
This is jaw dropping. Love the softness and of course that beautiful cardstock. I'm so glad you didn't get hit too bad. Sorry Dee couldn't make it home.
Hi Mary Anne, love this card. I love those peg stamps too, have several sets (which are collecting dust, now I need to get them out again) Pretty colors and the doily is perfect behind your wreath.
Hugs
Sue
Beautiful card. Love the colors, so dainty. The pearls add a lovely touch.
Hi Mary Anne! Beautiful card, with lovely stamping work and a gorgeous old-fashioned feel!
Mary Ann this is so delicately beautiful. Love all the soft colors and the doily is perfect. Rubber Stamp Tapestry has been at my local stamp show several times and it's easy to spend an hour or more there. Thanks for playing!
What a pretty card Mary Anne! Love the colors and the way you used the doily.
Beautiful card Mary Anne, the Tapestry stamps are lovely and your whole card is just so pretty, this is one to treasure for sure.
Thanks so much for kind comments about the DT's cards, that is so sweet of you and thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp

Such a gorgeous creation! I am fascinated by those stamps too. Don't have any, but think they make beautiful creations!
Beautiful card Mary Anne! You sound just like Linda in the Rubber Stamp Tapestry booth...can't tell you how many shows I have had to find a chair while she oogled and picked what she needed :)
ROFLOL. Jennie busted me out! When I was reading your post i was smiling ....I can't even tell you how many of their sets I have! Sad that I don't get to use them...not enough crafting hours (-:
