Friends with Flair Time

How did it get to be Friday again?  That means it is time to show our Unity creations.  You can win a super prize, by either commenting on a creation, or linking up something special you have to share.  Friends with Flair can be so inspiring.

Both of my cards use the August of 2011 KOM called What I Know.  Both are just note cards, and a bit eclectic. This is another great way to use up those scraps you have laying around.  Here is what I made.

Card one is made with oak tag that has been sponged with Old Paper Distress Ink.  The images were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Touches of Copic marker were added to the butterfly.

My second card uses a TH Texture Fade for the trim, and it is sanded.  My striped paper is from K&Co.

That's it for today.  Still have not gotten the snow part of the storm, but they are saying when it starts it will be inches each hours.  Again, thanks for visiting, and stay safe, if you are facing Nor-Easter Nemo.

Love that collage card and the second one uses paper that is very similar to paper I used for a Flourishes challenge today (not posted to my blog yet). Guess great minds think alike!

Two lovely cards, Mary Anne. I love the neutral color scheme in your first card and the embossing on your second card really makes a statement.
Got hammered with snow, 28 inches and 4 feet + drifts. Lost power for 21 hours but all is back now and we are warm again. Enjoy your weekend.

We are reading about the terrible snowstorm in the USA in the Sunday papers today. Scary stuff indeed. I hope you are safe and I like your cards. The neutral colour scheme and quiet attitiude of your first one is lovely. I too enjoy using little bits and pieces to make what I call serendipity cards.Thank you for visiting my blog.
