Craft A Scene Challenge #4 Silhouettes

This morning I would like to share with you a card that I had great fun creating.  Since I have not had lots of time this week, I added a bit everyday until I was pleased.  The design team over at Craft A Scene have come up with an awesome challenge, to use silhouettes.  Here is what I came up with.

My image is from Far Far Hill.  I cut it out using a Spellbinders Label Seventeen, sponged with Memento inks, and drew an outline with a Zig fine point marker while the image was still in the die.  My base is soft sand card stock with a layer of white.  Both are Pure Luxury brand from Gina K. Designs.  The designer papers I decided to use are from Basic Grey's Little Black Dress collection.  My card is an easel design, which takes me out of my comfort zone, but I am pleased.

For my embellishments, I used Prima flowers, tons of Recollections pearls, and sheer blue ribbon.  I die cut two of the Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish pieces, and took them apart to use randomly on the card.  I wanted to make sure you could see that I left a spot inside to jot a quick note.  The sentiment, which I used for a stand, is one from Clear Dollar Stamps.  I added a sweet little dragonfly charm for the lady to watch in her garden.

That is it for me today.  I hope everyone is looking forward to the holiday weekend.  After my DH had some surgery last Friday, he seems to be on the mend.  At least the Dr. reassured me that she saw no reason for emergency surgery in the near future.  That means all of your prayers and well wishes worked, and he will be able to be at our DS's wedding.  Thank you ever so much!
