Winter Blues...(but not winter)

Here is a card that I created for a lady at work, who became a grandma for the very first time.  I remember that feeling from not so long ago.  It is the best feeling in the world.

My card is a CAS one, using Unity Stamps.  My papers are all scraps, and it felt really great to do some paper piecing. I also die cut a few clouds from Memory Box, being sure to add a wee bit of sparkle from some Diamond Stickles.  There are a couple of star sequins holding up my wash line.

I would like ot enter this card over at Shopping Our Stash #289, which is Winter Blues but not winter.
Also I would like to take this over to Pixie's Snippets Playground with #'s 267 and 268, where we are to use snippets, all the time!

It ended up that the wind and cold were worse than the snow storm.  Go figure!  Here is a photo that hubby took after things calmed a bit.  Thanks for the visit!

What an adorable baby card and Congrats to your friend, Mary Anne! Those onesies hanging on the line are so cute! I also loved your blog heading picture of the snow scene! As much as I dislike snow the picture was so serene and beautiful! I have to agree...the wind and temps were the worst from this snowstorm. I hope by tomorrow it's all melted...what little bit we got! TFS and stay warm today! Hugs~
