Today I have a Unity post, for Friends with Flair, that has been a long time coming. A few months back, I made my grandson a memory matching game using 2 sets of Unity stamps. I then gave it to him, and never took a picture. The game is holding up fairly well, and when I saw he brought it to play with his last trip here, I snagged it up and took a couple of photos.
The sets used were Meow, Purr, Baa, and Roar, Grr, Eek. As soon as these sets became available, I just had to have them! I used assorted inks and Copic markers, along with other assorted Unity stamps to create some texture on the backgrounds. They were cut with a Spellbinders classic circle die, as was the designer paper I used for the reverse sides. I layered them between laminating sheets and then cut again. I also made a paper board box for storage. This is one of the more fun projects I have done, and it has been hours of fun for a 2 year old.
As a little side note, I did use the sheep from the set, but those two cards seem to have scampered off. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy your weekend.

Wow, I love this idea of making him this game. All your pieces are adorable. I'm going to pass this idea of making this game onto my granddaughter. She has taken on a part-time job as a nanny and this will be great for her to do with the children. Thanks so much for sharing. I wish you a fun weekend.
Oh how cute! These stamps sets are adorable. I'm sure the sheep will turn up somewhere.
You are so clever and tuned in to your DGD's fun! I'm sure he loved this one-of-a-kind set and played with the sheep until they ran away! I love the whole idea, and that colorful chevron paper is perfect for the backs! NJ!
Mary Anne,

Great idea, Mary Anne. Thanks for the inspiration!
So fun! I made one of these games for my son when he was 3. I used a pringles can to hold them in [decorated naturally] -- we had fun times playing that game!
Great idea. Glad your GS is still playing with them. He must really treasure what you made for him. Thanks for this great idea.

What a great idea to make a homemade Memory game, Mary Anne! The little stamped images are just fantastic for the game! I wish I had done this for the twins and now I wish I knew someone with little tykes! Hmmm, I'll be thinking about that and pin this in the meantime so I don't forget. Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell
