Feeling a Little Buggy!
In this hot, sticky time of year, there is nothing better to post about then bugs! Bee's, beetles, worms, and the almighty caterpillar. They are munching and crunching and hell bent on destruction. I always try to remember that without the caterpillar, we would have no butterflies!
Anyway, I had a play with a set that is fairly new to me. It is called Color Layering Caterpillar, from Hero Arts. I used shades of inks to create a fairly mellow card. Kiwi Kiss, Crushed Curry and Soft Sky were the top ones. I had a scrap of this Basic Grey, PB&J paper, which I layered on a white card base. My next layer is a negative from cutting out an oval, which I ran through my Big Shot in a chevron embossing folder. The floral/sky layer was attached behind, with my munchy crunchy caterpillar popped in the corner. For embellishments, There is a twine bow and scattered expoxy dots.
I will be taking this over to the Double D Challenge, this week, which is called "Don't Bug Me".
Have a wonderful second half to your week, and thanks for the visit.
How lovely! This card made top 3! Woo Hoo!

What an awesome job on this caterpillar creation MaryAnne! Love your design and yes, without these critters we wouldn't have our beautiful butterflies ... but what advantage is there to Japanese Beetles? LOL They are destroying all my roses & morning glories! LOL
Anyways ... Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Double D ‘Don’t Bug Me!’ challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often. It's always nice to see your name pop up!!

I know all about bugs - and even though some of them are cute like this one, I don't like bugs. It's extremely hot and dry here so all the bugs love to come in the house. Much cooler in here. They even had a special on the local news the other day about how the scorpions are coming inside in droves. We don't have droves of them, but yes, I can vouch for the critters coming in.
So......I'd MUCH rather see this cute and pretty little caterpillar any day of the week. LOVE your design on the card and the perfect colors for it. Perfect!!!!

What a great play on words with that sentiment paired up with a caterpillar! I love how you put this together with the little window too! Great job on the bug challenge!
