Playing this Weekend.

This week, my DH stopped at the book store and surprised me with a magazine packed full of fun!  It has stamps, papers, die cuts, and an assortment of ideas! It even has some blank cards and envies! I used this kit  to create my card for this weeks TMS #448.

This is the sketch that needs to be followed, and I did so using stitched circle dies, from Gina Marie, an embossing folder by Sizzix, Intense Black ink from Hero Arts, with Copic markers.  For embellishments, I used a satin bow and some Nuvo Drops.

I find it funny that I can not find the maker of the stamp set included.  That seems a wee bit odd to me, as you would think they would love the shout out.  The magazine is called Make Special Cards.

Well, my thermometer peaked at 87, here yesterday.  It felt so nice and all of the trees rushed to blossom.  Today is is barely 40 and the heater is pumping away.  I guess we need to be happy that we are not getting the mid-west blizzard!  Have a great day!

Mary Anne your card is so soft and pretty! Love the use of the Nuvo Drops. That sure is a cool magazine! Guess it's time I get to a bookstore and look thru the craft magazines. So glad you could join us again this week at TMS. Wasn't yesterday GORGEOUS?! Sure hope that weather comes back again soon.

Pretty card and a great take on the sketch too. Love that you were able to use things from the magazine.
I think you're having Texas weather now. That's how we've been for about a month now....cold one day and hotter than blue blazes the next.

So pretty, Mary Anne! I love the pretty spring colors you used and your embossed panel! I have never seen that EF before and love the texture it adds to your card! Awww, what a great hubby you have! Yea, it got a bit too hot for my liking on Saturday. We took a bike ride Friday morning which it was perfect out but Saturday working in the yard was a bit too much. Not ready for HOT weather. Sunny and 70's!
