Sharing a Second

I just had to do another card for the Unity Show and Tell color challenge, this week.  As you know from my post a couple days ago, they are featuring the colors red and kraft.  You do have the option of including black and white

Here is what I came up with.  My unity stamps are the pretty bird cage from June 2015 KOM, and my sentiment from the January 2012 KOM.  I just love combining my Unity kits! The layers are kraft, black, and white.  My oval was cut using an inside out stitched oval from MFT.  I stamped my cage with Memento on kraft and used colored pencils and mineral spirits to blend.  There was a heavy emphasis on the white pencil.  I did some sponging around the oval with Unicorn white ink from Hero Arts.  Twine, flower punches, and gems were added as embellishments.

Sympathy cards are not a favorite to create but they are sure good to have at the ready.  Thanks for the visit, and I hope to see you again soon.

What a beautiful sympathy card! The image is not something I'd ever think to use for this type of card, but it works beautifully as the bird appears to be less than cheerful. The placement of all the bling takes this one over the top!

Mary Anne,
I'm sorry I've missed the last few been a bit under the weather. I love this one for a sympathy card. Your pencil work was a great choice.
