It's Friday.....We Made It!

We have made it to another weekend!  The cold winter chill will make sure we do not do too many outside activities.  What a great time to settle in and do some crafting.  My cards today, are more of my adventure of stamping directly on designer paper.

The first card uses stamps from the December 2014 KOM, from Unity.  I inked my images in multiple colors, did accents in Copic marker, and layered it on so pre-embossed card that I found .  That was then attached to a kraft card blank.  I simply added a twine bow.

My second card is gold embossing, on top of a gold foiled paper scrap.  It was very difficult to get a good photo, because of the shine.  I took a brown Copic and quickly highlighted inside of the flower to make it pop more.  I know the Copic and EP can get tricky, so that is why it was with real quick swipes. I made a fishtail banner for my sentiment, and added a gold cording bow, with button.  These stamps are from the January 2015 KOM.

I will be linking these to the Friday Friends with Flair party.  Check out all of the talent, and if you leave comments, you could be a winner!  Thanks for visiting.

Mary Anne,
I like that you are stamping direct on your designer paper. That gold foil one is amazing and I love the flowers on the other.

Stamping on the dsp gives such a fabulous look to any card, but I love those earthy colors you chose! The Copic tricks you used perfectly enhance your gold flower card! Thanks for sharing these two beauties!

Gorgeous cards. I have never thought of embossing on gold pp. I must try it. I thought the heat gun would melt the finish. Thanks for sharing this.

Two lovely cards. Love all that gold and the Copic work turned out beautiful. Your first card looks great with the stamping on dsp. It always kicks it up a notch when someone does that, at least in my book. Have a good warm dry weekend in you craft room.

Lovely cards, and it reminds me that Copics don't have to be used strictly for coloring images in fully.
