A Couple of Cards for RAK's

My first card was created using a recently acquired set called Asian Plants. It is from Clear Dollar Stamps, LLC. I used a white base card and added Sweet Mango PL card stock. My striped dp is from Francis Meyers Co. My image was cut out with Classic Squares Nestabilities and sponged with Taken with Teal ink from SU!. The image itself is colored with Copic Markers. I created the fancy punched piece with an MS Iron Gate, corner punch.I added ribbon and pink pearls for embellishments. The vase and Asian character are both coated with a Sakura Glaze Pen.

For my second RAK card, I used an older SU! set called Art of Life. I stuck with the black, grey, and white theme to give the card a classy look. Again I started with a white base with a layer of dp from Making Memories. I used a scrap Nestie cut out as a frame. My accents are fine checked ribbon, black twine, flat black sticky dots, and a silver watering can charm. My flower head is covered in Stickles for a little sparkle.

I will document both of these sets used in my new journal. *Grin*

I hope to pack up some Christmas decorations today and ship them back to the attic. Why is it always harder to pack away, then it is to put up? Ugh! More snow coming my way tomorrow. It would be nice to give the furnace a little break with a warm day. 45 degrees would be lovely!

Okay, I am done moaning, or you may not stop back again. Hugs, my friends!

These cards are really cool, and I just LOVE that little watering can charm on the 2nd one! You did a great job on both of them!
You can moan all you want and I'll still come back! I've been moaning since I got that staggering utility bill last week! I knew the rates were going up, but 3 X's what I paid this time last year is TOO much! Tomorrow night I'll have something new to grouch about with the impending snowfall LOL In spite of it all, I'm still smiling.........honest! :D

Beautiful cards Mary Anne. Looks like you are doing the same thing I am trying to do; use older stamps. I have so many stamps that have not seen ink in years. So sad!
Thanks for the comment on my latest blog post. Yeah, I stayed in all weekend. Love when I can do that. :o) I came home from work and had hot water. I could not wait to take a shower. All squeaky clean and ready to stamp the night away. Yeah!!!

Have a great week and stay warm.

Mary Anne,
Love the both these cards, that is a great punch on the first one and I really wish I could shadow the way you can. Mine always turns out bad that's why I sponge so much LOL. The Black and White is my favorite just because I like black and white and look at the cute watering can.
I'm glad you got your stuff up it's a big job.
