A Little Busy.

Here is a Valentine I created while I was playing with some very old stamps.  I saw a video where they showed them draw a shape on a card layer, stamp and die cut so that the shape of the die was completely covered.  I brought out my Rubber Tapestry peg stamps and gave it a go.  The set was called African Daisy Border.  I used an assortment of Gina K inks, on a stitched heart layer.  It was such fun, however a wee bit busy.

I found a piece of Basic Grey pattern paper for the background,  and pulled all of the colors from that.  I recently purchased these fun letter dies from HSN, on Craft Day, and I had to give them a try.  The letters are made by Diamond Press.  I cut them from a scrap piece of paper that was sprayed with Distress Oxide spray inks.  (another fun product)  Just some gems for my flower centers, and a pretty pink bow finished up my project.

Hope you are all ready for the day of Love!  Tomorrow is the big day.  I have been sporting a bad cold, this week, so I am hoping to be mended enough for a date with my honey.  Whatever you do, have fun!

I have that same BG paper pad! They do go back a few years. I need to dig some of them out and play. I too have a "busy" card I made the other day even hubby commented on how "busy" it is??!! Haven't posted it yet. This crappy weather makes it hard to get outside and take good photos. Sometimes we just have to do something different for a change! Looks like I need to stay away from the HSN?!! Thanks for the lovely Valentine card! Hopefully mine will make it on time? I didn't get them mailed till Tuesday. Hope your feeling better!

I just love the angle of this pretty heart with the X's and O's with those tiny hearts cut into them! I don't think this looks busy at all, you made a very pretty design with those peg stamps! I don't think I have a single piece of Basic Grey dsp left in my stash other than a few snippets of "two scoops", as I used them all a long time ago. I miss their gorgeous papers! Beautiful card, and I hope you're feeling well enough to have a fun Valentine's day today!
