Sunshine...

Today I have a card that I made quite awhile ago.  I try to keep a few in my back pocket for times I am busy, and can't sit to create.  This uses a Penny Black image, which I had colored with Copic markers, on an embossing folder background.  I added stitched clouds and a big old sunshine, from Lil Inkers.  Some shimmer was added to the hearts, as well as a digital sentiment from TLC Creations.

This time of year always reminds me of playing outside, as a child.  Seems most children can not appreciate that pleasure these days.  I just don't get it.

Anyway, I would like to enter this in the newest challenge at Little Red Wagon #394, You Are My Sunshine.

I would also like to take this over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge -May- Which is Wedding, Anniversary, and all things Love inspired!

We are in the grips of a heat wave with this being the 3rd day in the 90's.  It is suppose to break by tomorrow, and we will be back to outside fun.  Have a great weekend, and thanks for the visit.

What a sweet and fun card with those playing mice :) I love the basket of hearts! I also feel sorry for today's youth missing out on playing outdoors in the sunshine like we did! I can barely recall a day spent indoors if we could be outdoors in the good old summertime :)

Very fun card today, Mary Anne! Love the kiddo's out playing and taking in the fresh air! Your card is a reminder to spend more time outdoors which is something you very rarely see these days with all the electronic gadgets & computers. My kids use to love playing outdoors and it was a help we had a pool for them to enjoy. Love the embossed panel and your sun & clouds! Super cute touch! TFS and happy Friday to you! :)

Believe it or not I think this may be a Penny Black that I've never seen before??!! What a fun card perfect for this time of year. Times sure are different! We'd play outside till dark and sometimes even later! Catching lightening bugs or playing flashlight tag ect. Have a great weekend it's going to be much cooler!

Mary Anne,
This is so adorable, it reminds me of those days too. Even better it makes me smile. Yesterday Timmy and Elizabeth were running circles around the stairs and my son just laughed. Timmy is the middle son and Elizabeth is the little girl 12 and 8 LOL.
