Happy Spring!

If you are feeling anything like me, you are glad winter is behind us.  The problem is that spring forgot to tell winter to get out of the way!  It is snowing here in PA, and we are expecting inches.  I think I will skip my free Rita's Water Ice tradition today! They give one away free each year, on the first day of spring!   Brrrrrr!

I would also like to share this weeks card for Friends with Flair, and Pixie's Snippets Playground.
I started with a white base, and then made a smaller quilted panel with scraps. It was run through the Cuttlebug using a Dotted Swiss EF I picked up the teal in the scraps, and cut a spellbinders heart and mat for my sentiment.  Next, I stamped my images from the March Unity KOM, applied clear embossing powder, and did some coloring with Copics.  I found this twisted fiber in my stash from my scrapbooking days, and added a few Chickaniddy hearts to finish.

Have a great weekend.  Not sure what we will be up to.  We had some new furniture delivered yesterday, and we have move it 3x now.  Could be interesting!

Mary Anne,
I just love reading your post LOL. Sorry about the snow, but please keep it there. Your creation is very pretty, love the use of scraps to quilt your background.

Lovely card Mary Anne - certainly very much a reminder that Spring is on the way (at least it is here in the Southern UK). Too funny about moving the furniture so many times - sounds like us!

Hugs

Mary Anne this is a lovely Spring card. I know how you feel about the snow. We still have snow banks and the birds are chirping. It is very cold here today as well and yet the sun is out and you would think it is spring. I will just spend the day here in my craft room. TFS

That's a beautiful card with a warm and wonderful sentiment! As for the snow.......waaaaaaaah!!! We have at least 5-6 inches and it's still snowing like crazy! I packed my boots away a week ago, and the hubs summer-ized the snowblower a week ago! I'm pulling my shades and not looking outside!!! LOL

Very pretty card and design! Sorry you had snow today, that certainly takes the fun out of the first day of spring. Hopefully you'll get some of this warmer weather soon!

I wasn't ready for all this snow either. I was ready for spring...with sunshine, warmer temperatures, etc. Didn't happen today did it? smile.
but the good news is, since it's later in March...The white stuff we have on the ground won't hang around as long.

Your card is lovely. I really like the sentiment too.

Oh, BRRRR!!! We had a lovely spring day yesterday, but today is rainy, gray, and blustery. Ugh. Gives me an excuse to stay inside and play cards. :)
