Weenie Wishes!

I created a couple of cards last week, while I was healing my heart.  We tried to rescue a Dachshund mix pup, and the people in front of us, who applied got her.  I am sure there will be the perfect Doxie out there for me.  I need a mini, short hair, female, and would prefer the traditional red color.  "Sigh".  Someday soon, I hope.

My first card was just envisioned when I found this scrap of blue dotted paper in my stash.  I ran with the monochromatic design.  Santa brought me these beautiful Stitched snowflakes from Lawn Fawn, which I keep cutting from every white scrap that appears on my desk.  I added mini blue Prima flowers, with pearl centers.  This adorable Dachshund stamp is from Rubber Cottage.I used Midnight Muse ink from SU!.

Card two, I created using a colorful scrap on white.  I then used the negative from the snowflakes, pounced it with Unicorn White ink from Hero Arts, and heated clear detail EP on top.  I love the results as they are soft and milky looking.  I added 3 card stock colors and fussy cut my Dachshund, once again.  The negative was once again a stencil on the green with the Midnight Muse.  The embellishments are from Craft n Craftin', and are glitter peel off stickers.  The sentiments on both cards were computer generated.

I would like to enter these cards over at Pixie's Snippets Playground #161, where it is all snippets, all the time.  I sure used plenty!

I hope you have a great week, and have lots of crafty fun.

Two lovely cards Mary Anne! I hear what you say about healing your heart - there is a little doxie out there for you I'm sure. Bless you.

Oh I am so very sorry for you not getting your new baby,

Oh I am so sorry you missed out on getting you new little baby. But you know they say things work out for a reason. I'll bet there is another one in more need of your love which will make it all the more special. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. In the meantime your cards are precious. I don't know which one I like better because they are both so nice each in it's own way. Enjoy your Sunday and stay safe during this upcoming "blizzard".

Wonderful cards with that great dachshund image! I need to use mine more often after seeing these! The blue dots are perfect for the snowy weather we're about to encounter! Stay focused, because I know that perfect dachshund is going to come your way before you know it :)

Mary Anne, these just make my heart go pitter patter! Not only are the cards so pretty - and I do love the snowflake die too - but that doxie is adorable. I wouldn't trade any amount of money for our little Rambo. He's having a tough time right now but still wouldn't trade him. You'll find that sweet little baby you're looking for and it'll be love at first sight! There are so many that need rescuing and you WILL find one!
