Friends with Flair

I am a little late with my Friends with Flair post for today.  I love this little Unity Itty Bitty stamp called Hey There, Wise Guy.  Isn't this bird a cutie?  I changed up the sentiment for another Unity sentiment, which I thought went well.  The card was made with mostly scraps, and the addition of twine, Dew Drops, and gems.  Coloring was done with Copic Markers.

I thought this would be sweet to send to my DGS, for a just because occasion.  Hope your holidays are starting to come together, especially Thanksgiving.  Sounds like I may be cooking the weekend before, and going out for the actual day.  That will be fun!  Plan on hitting a few church bazaars tomorrow, and if I come across anything fun and crafty, I will be sure to post!  Have a great weekend.

Mary Anne, I love your card. Blue and gold are our school colors, so I get tired of them sometimes, but I don't think that I would every get tired of this card.

Mary Anne,
Brian will love this one, that bird is the cutest and all the buttons and twine will interest him too. Funny you should mention bazaars, I went to one last Sat. and found the cutest little Christmas Spider with a Christmas poem. So while I was trying not to be an impulse buyer some woman swept right in and scooped it out from under my nose. I'm having the girl make me another one. I'm going to have the poem done in calligraphy and supper impose a Christmas Tree on it. The poem says something about a mommy spider looking for a safe place for baby spiders so they climbed up the Christmas tree when Santa saw them he turned their webs to gold and silver and that is how we got tinsel. It was the cutest thing I've ever heard. Then I will paint a shadow box red and green of course add the poem and Jeweled Spider and give it Adrieene.

Ah, what a sweet grandma you are to send this super cute card to your grandson "just because!" I should take a page from your book, Mary Anne, and do the same thing for mine; I know they would be thrilled. Now where did I put my Book of Priorities so I can put that at the top of the list! I hope you had good luck finding goodies at the bazaars!! Hugs, Darnell
