Friends with Flair and Be Inspired Time.

Another week has passed, and yesterday we celebrated the first day of Spring!  Our temps are still being a bit wonky, here in PA, and they are even saying the "S" word for next week.  I am trying to be positive, use the freshness of Spring to move forward, and conquer what has been dragging me down, this past Winter!

I decided to do the Be Inspired Challenge, at Unity, as well as enter these cards into Friends with Flair, this week.  Be sure to click, and check out all of the beautiful work that is linked up.  There is also a sale going on, at Unity, so be sure to check that out!

For my first card, I used the sweet circular stamp from the March KOM at Unity.  I punched it with the scallop punch from SU!, and colored it with Copic markers.  The flower center is done with diamond Stickles.  My base is Pure Ivory card stock from Gina K. Designs.  The designer paper is from MME and their Vanity Fair collection.  I just adore that touch of hounds tooth!

Here is the sketch I followed for the Be Inspired Challenge.

Card 2 is strictly for the Friends with Flair, this week.   It also uses the Vanity Fair designer paper, from MME.  The butterflies and the sentiment are both in the March KOM.  I fussy cut the one and popped it up.  My little loopy border is cut from K&Co adhesive paper lace.  Coloring is done with Copic markers and touches of clear were added with a glaze pen.

Rumor has it, that 65 is in our future for tomorrow.  Maybe some of the leaves and debris can be removed over my bulbs.  I won't rush over the later flowers, so they can stay tucked in.  Whatever you end up doing, make it a good time!

Lovely cards, Mary Anne. Hope you see the 65 degrees... we still have a couple feet of snow over our flower gardens. Ugh!

Both are so beautiful! I love that patterned paper you used on these too. Wonderful cards!

The dreadful four letter "S" word! Yikes! Y'all don't need any more of that stuff - after all, it's suppose to be spring!

Wonderful set of cards, I like the hounds tooth too it makes a great anchor for the flower sentiment. Those butterflies are some of the prettiest I've seen.

Two super pretty cards from you today, Mary Anne. I love the spring colors in your first card and those precious butterflies in the second card, another sign of spring. They are talking "s" maybe tonight and again next week.

Both cards are beautiful! I don't think our state is done with the snow quite yet. It has certainly over stayed its welcome!

You know I love your two-fers, and these cards could not be lovelier. This is the most Spring I have seen since October. Lovely pinks and flowers in the first one. And the second one the colors are beautiful and butterflies too! Thanks for the Spring touches, we had snow today, just a dusting, but enough already, and it is so cold! THF your cards, made my day.

Hugs
Sue
