A Few Challenges

     Hi everyone!  Happy Valentine's Day! You can be sure, I am also thinking Spring!  I have a couple of cards I would like to share with you today, that I worked on during the latest blast of snow.

     My first card is for the Friends with Flair linky, which happens every Friday.  It is the perfect way for me to use my latest Kits of the Month.  The flowers and sentiment are from the February kit.  I used a new Spellbinders die to create the cut out background.  It is called Nobel Rectangle.  My papers are scraps from K&Co. I used a Viva Décor pearl pen to give the flower centers some texture.

     I would also like to enter this card over at the Mod Squad Challenge, as their theme for this week is to use flowers.

     One of my commenters {thank you} reminded me of a new challenge which can be found here.  It is the Butterfly Challenge, and the first one is "Butterflies and Flowers".  Here you go, Mrs. A..

     Card two, is also made from the Unity KOM, and features one of my favorite stamps in the kit.  This pretty tree with it's delicate leaves, will be used over and over.  I used up more scraps, created a sky background, and torn grassy knoll.  My sun was made from a 1" circle punch and a sun spiral punch, I forgot I owned.  I used markers to color the tree.  I even used a little wire clip that was a gifty in my KOM package.  This card will also be for Friends with Flair, and I would also like to add it over at Pixie Snippets Playground, since I used up some bits that have been lying around.

     Thanks ever so much for paying me a visit.  See that, I didn't even dwell on all the snow storms!

I'm feeling warmer just looking at your spring like cards. Thank you for that. What a great use for you new die on your first card. Very pretty. Your second card is equally as pretty. Love that tree and your sun. Different and darling. Enjoy the weekend. Hope it is snow free for you.

So beautiful. I love the tree and beautiful sunny sky. It is a dreary day here, expecting more snow, but your card made me happy. Have a great weekend,

Very pretty spring card and that new die is perfect. The second one is just happy, happy, I love the tree and the sun. It looks like a beautiful spring morning. I'm glad you still have power and can play. Love seeing your creations.

These are both so beautiful, and a breath of spring shines through on each one! Snow? Did it snow around here? I hadn't noticed :) {choke}

Two gorgeous cards!!! Love the butterfly and flowers on that first one - and all those wonderful pearls! The second one is like a bright sun shiny day! So pretty!
No sense in dwelling on the snow I guess.....it's going to be there and there's not much you can do about it I guess. Hope y'all didn't lose power this time though!

Beautiful cards, Mary Anne! They are both so sunny and cheerful. I'm ready for spring too...we were to go out with friends from church tonight, but here we sit, as the weather blew in ugly this afternoon! Have a great weekend! Hugs...

Mary Anne, I am so thinking spring, too, but I'm afraid it's a long way off. Your cards give me hope -- they're both beautiful.

Lovely cards! I am a die-hard winter lover and even I am starting to get cabin fever after all this COLD weather this year. Bring on spring!
