This came about by scraps on my desk. I started by playing with a couple neglected stamps, to create a background. The swirl is from Magenta, and I believe the polka dot circle is an SU! stamp. Inks are Poppy Parade, and Midnight use form SU! The green I added is Pistachio from Memento. My little button brads are a peg stamp from Judith. I coated them and popped them up. My glasses and sentiment are Unity Stamps form their 4-11 KOM.
I went with shades of grey and used a digital focal image. My sentiments are from Gina K. Designs, older stamp set, called Punchy Words. My images and chevron papers are from a website called Mel Stampsz.

Mary Anne, It's unbelievable how fast the time goes by. I like the paper you made in your first card and I love the sentiment with the glasses. I was going to sty to work with chevrons, but I never got around to it. I think, after seeing your card, I may go back to the drawing board and make a few cards with the chevron. The bike looks like mine when I was younger. Have a great day.
I'm with you on the bit about fishing!!! Love to do that!
Two wonderful cards! That first one is so cute with the glasses and is perfect for that sketch! Love that bicycle and all the chevrons on the second one. Fabulous cards!

These are some seriously great cards! I love the little specs and how you stamped that bicycle on notebook paper! I used a "time flies" sentiment on my card today because the time is seriously flying by for me too!
Pretty designs Mary Anne and LOVE the chevron trend..great looking paper!
Wonderful layouts! ...time is flying by....can't wait for pretty weather either!
Wow what great cards, you nailed that sketch. I know what you mean about time just going by, cannot believe how fast it is going. Enjoy the weekend.
these are fantastic!!!!! Sorry it took me so late to comment..........
Wow, I really like both of your cards, that sketch has me inspired and your Ombre` card is lovely! Thanks for playing in our Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown challenge!
Both cards are super cute, but I really like how used used the ombre effect with the chevrons, then included the same theme with the bike. Super cute. I have joined your blog, hope you will join mine also. www.pennywardink.com
