March KOM Sketch Challenge at Unity

I am such a lucky duck!  My March Unity kit arrived on Friday and I have been able to commence playing! First thing, I wanted to make sure to create something for the KOM Sketch Challenge.  Now mind you, you do not have to use the newest kit.  Any KOM will work.  I just wanted to try and showcase the newest one. Here is the sketch we are to follow.

So, I guess you might want to see what I came up with, huh?  I a going to be in need of a few graduation cards this upcoming season, so I got a jump on them by creating this.  I used a selection of card stocks I had bought at a show, Stamped my images with Versafine ink, and colored with Copics.  Mat, mat, mat, snip, snip, snip, a few dimensionals and opaque black gems, and my card is complete!

Hope you are having a marvelous weekend.  My DH is on vacation until Tuesday and we are working on our bathroom remodeling job.  Have you ever had to paint a room 2x cause the color you thought you liked was horrible on the walls?  Don't ask!  Just a little setback, but a bit of an expensive lesson.  Who ever thought that a robin's egg blue could look florescent?

Hey, girl, I've had a bad experience with a blue wall too! It looked like it matched the stripe in the bedspread perfectly!!!!

This will be a great card for someone who is throwing up the old graduation cap this year!! Love all those colored diamond shapes.

Your card is wonderful! And how clever to get your graduation cards made up in advance! The Kits sound really cool - may have to check them out! I do know exactly what you are saying about your paint. When we were doing our bathroom, I picked out a beautiful gold paint for the upper walls. Started painting it on and it looked like a messy diaper color....ewwwww..... took three rounds of paint before we could stomach the walls. Tee hee. Good luck!

Killer cool graduation card! You paid attention in art class! Huge bummer having to paint twice, been there, done that! It will be worth it in the end!

Mary Anne,
WOW what a beautiful stand out this card will be. I love the design you used. Believe me I know about wall color. I'm still trying to decide if I like the bathroom. LOL No hubby has not finished it yet. I'm hoping the weekend of the 23rd because I'm off that weekend.
