A Hootin and a Hollerin!
I received a couple of new dies this week, and I wanted to share what I made. My first card is created with my 5 owls on a branch die. I cut it down to 3 on the front, and tucked another cutie on the inside. My Owls were colored with Distress inks and an applicator. I also used the same inks to do a bit of stenciling through the die. I think it helped with details. There is Glossy Accents on the eyes, and I added a little bit of Washi tape over my designer paper. The sentiment is from Jillibean Soup and popped up. Everything is mounted on a kraft card base.
My second card is a delicate owl die, which reminds me of magical times, and mystical wishes. I thought he was perfect for a birthday! This is another of the dies I found on Ebay, along with the stitched triangles I used to cut out my designer paper. I embossed the front of the card base with a Cuttlebug clock ef, and then added sequins and stars for shimmer.
So may fun ideas running through my head and I just had to let a few out. Ever get that way? So far, this weekend, we have celebrated my DGS 4th birthday, planted a row of new hedges, cooked tons of food, and made steak in my air fryer for the first time. It was amazing! Grilling would have been nice but the constant rain makes for a problem. I am starting to feel like we live in the Pacific North!

Remember...
Today I have a card that I made by just messing with some new paints I received in the mail this week. They are made by Vicki Boutin, and they are yummy acrylics, with some fun names! The colors I used are Plum Pudding and Daiquiri Ice. I used a foam applicator to apply, and then distressed the edges with Seedless Preserves, Distress Ink. I added a floral die, which I purchased on Ebay, and replace the negative parts of the flowers after adding accents with Copic marker. Then more accents were added to the flowers with Stickles, for sparkle! My background plaid is from My Favorite Things, and the sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co. The lacy details were cut from a square paper doily, and gems were to add to the bling.
I would like to enter this at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is a bit of sparkle.
This is turning into a super work weekend with lots of outside chores being done. Planting, watering, and mulch are among them. Hope you enjoy your weekend, whatever you get into!

Sunshine...
Today I have a card that I made quite awhile ago. I try to keep a few in my back pocket for times I am busy, and can't sit to create. This uses a Penny Black image, which I had colored with Copic markers, on an embossing folder background. I added stitched clouds and a big old sunshine, from Lil Inkers. Some shimmer was added to the hearts, as well as a digital sentiment from TLC Creations.
This time of year always reminds me of playing outside, as a child. Seems most children can not appreciate that pleasure these days. I just don't get it.
Anyway, I would like to enter this in the newest challenge at Little Red Wagon #394, You Are My Sunshine.
I would also like to take this over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge -May- Which is Wedding, Anniversary, and all things Love inspired!
We are in the grips of a heat wave with this being the 3rd day in the 90's. It is suppose to break by tomorrow, and we will be back to outside fun. Have a great weekend, and thanks for the visit.

I Love Plaid!
Today I have a baby card I created with some dies I bought on Ebay. My favorite part of this are all of the dreamy colors in this MFT paper! The train and animals were colored with Copic markers, and my little hearts have a touch of diamond Stickles. The last car of this animal train was cut off, and put to the inside of the card.
I found a couple of challenges that are new to me, and I would like to enter them. The first is the House of Cards Challenge, and I chose to do the colors.
My next challenge can be found at OLLCB #28, which is Something Beginning with B. I think that is covered with baby boy!
Both challenges seem like great fun! Thanks for the visit, and I hope to see you again soon.

To All of the Beautiful Mother's!
I wish you a day full of great memories, happy times, and plenty of pampering! I have a card to share with you that was created for an order. I hope that special mom enjoys it.
For this I used a Simon Says Stamp, Dahlia die, which I borrowed from my sweet friend, Carol. I also used a Mother's Day sentiment from Anna Griffin, and a fanciful flourish from Cheery Lynn . The dahlia was trimmed down to form the smaller flower. The butterfly is a Martha S. punch. To get the variegated color shades, I hit everything lightly with watercolors and an aqua brush. The designer paper is from DCWV, and their Latte Matstack. The embossing is done with a houndstooth folder. My embellishments are some clear gems and some sparkly centers on the flowers.
I will be meeting up with my DD for a fun breakfast and a bit of shopping. That should be fun! A Very Happy Mother's Day to all!

Ahoy!
It was creating with some sea life dies the other day, and I came up with a couple of fun cards. I shared them on FB and was asked why I did not share them here.... good question! So, here they are!
My first was made with some background paper I printed off and a ship die I bought on Ebay. I added my seagull dies from Impression Obsession and a sentiment from Mark's Finest Paper, which has closed it's doors.
The second card uses a mermaid and sea creature dies from Ebay. I colored the mermaid with Copic markers, added some shimmer and details with a white gel pen. The sentiment is from TLC Creations, and cut with a Gina Marie stitched circle die. For the background paper, I used another one printed from my file stash. Added some assorted sequins and called it done.
It is a very rainy day here in PA..... with the promise of clearer skies for Mother's Day... sure hope so because I need to meet my beautiful daughter for breakfast! Have a great Saturday!

It's a Celebration
I have really slacking on posting, but never fear, I am back! I created this card and found out that it covers a few fun challenges. I hope you all agree.
First I would like to say that I adore my recent purchase of the MFT , Sow Much Cuteness stamp set. This is only my second time inking it up, but it is adorable. How can you not smile at piggies? My mix and match papers and tag were from a group of papers that I do not ever remember buying. LOL.. It must have come to the surface when we moved the stamp room... LOL. No clue who makes it or how old it is. Talk about shopping your stash. Things are colored in Copic Markers, and I used a little twine for a bow, along with foam tape to pop things up.
The first Challenge is the SSS Wednesday Challenge, which is "Hint of Pink". I think that is covered with the pig.
Second is Shopping Our Stash where we are asked to do Fussy Cutting. That would be my butterflies. This challenge is called Back to Basics.
Third would be Little Red Wagon #392. They are asking for Time to Celebrate! This is to celebrate a birthday.
Thanks ever so much for stopping around. It has been very gloomy here and just down right chilly. It is more soup weather than it feels like May!
