Things with Wings

I do not know about you, but I seem to go through my stash of comfort cards quickly.  I think this has to be one of my favorites I have ever made.  I recently purchased this Heron die from Gina Marie Designs.  I also used this Tall Grass die from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and the with sympathy words from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  It is hard to believe this entire card was made with scraps from my bin.  I even used the negatives from the grass as a stencil on my background with some sponging.  It also uses the negative from a circle die cut to frame my little scene, and an extra punched circle for the sun.  Did I miss anything?

I would like to take this over to the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Things with Wings

Pixie's Snippets Playground #238:  Always use snippets

Use Your Stuff #230:  Die Cuts/ and or Punches

I hope you do not get sick of seeing me use this die.  Even the negative pieces make excellent silhouettes and places to put patterned
paper.  I give this die a thumbs up!  Tell me what you think.

It's a real pretty card, with a great die cut image. I love the sponging effect with the tall grass too.

Thumbs up from me also. I love everything about this card except for the type of card it has to be. It's a shame we even need too make these types of cards. In any case you beautiful card will certainly help someone feel better. Have a good upcoming weekend.

You get a thumbs up from me too! How about two thumbs up. So pretty and peaceful looking a a beautiful sympathy card. Love the way you used the negative part of the grass stencil in the background.

We have had a heron land by our pond and snag my five large fish. I learned to "watch what I wished for" the hard way. I really like your card and it has convinced me I need this die.

Beautiful card Mary Anne and just perfect to express sympathy. I certainly agree that you'll get loads of use from such a versatile die! The scene you created is lovely - great combination of die cutting as well as stenciling.

Hugs
