This Weeks FwF

Happy Friday morning. everyone!  I am going to make this post a quick one, as I am struggling with fingers that refuse to bend.  My surgery to clear up this tunnel business will be Aug 15th.  I may be absent for a couple weeks.

Anyway, on to my card!  This card is pretty much created with scraps.  The base is a half sheet of red that was calling my name from the bin, and I believe it is Gina K. Designs.  Next is a cute chevron scrap from Doodlebug Design.  My words are stamped from one of those magnetic word sets, and they really come in handy sometimes.  The love die cut was a gift from my dear friend Carol, and more snippets of red were used for the insert heart, and the bitty banners.  My main image is from the July 2014, Unity Kit of the Month!  I just love this flower cluster!  Coloring was done with Copics, and I added Stickles, and black sticky dots as accents.

This card will be for Friends with Flair, at Unity.  I would also like to add this at Pixie's Snippets Playground, since everything was found in bins and desktop.  I believe I will add this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge also, because it is Anything Goes, this week.

What a totally nice card, MaryAnne. I really like the flower colors and your chevron paper is sweet. I'm not familiar with those magnetic word set, but I'll have to look into them. That Carol does give nice gifts, doesn't she? All things added up to a great card. I do hope this surgery helps your problem. Have a good day and weekend.

Mary Anne,
Love this one, the red is so pronounced it's luscious and I do see some sparkle on the flowers. I hope I get a chance to talk to you before surgery and you can get the relief you are hoping for. If we don't make a connection before then take care and I will be thinking of you.

Absolutely wonderful Mary Anne! Such a gorgeous design and the pale blue and red are stunning together!

Only a couple of weeks until you get the CT sorted out. Little tip that caught me out - back in the day when I had mine done I used aerosol deodorants and it wasn't until after the op. I realised that no way could or should I try to depress the thing! So, if that's likely to be an issue I recommend a roll-on - or even better a natural mineral stick. Sheesh, how very personal this must sound! AND, the relief was instant - so I hope it's the same for you!

Hugs, Di xx

These are such fun, vivid and crisp looking colours. Beautiful card for your daughter.

Hope your surgery goes well. I have had both wrists done (if that is where your surgery is) and what a difference it made to me! So nice to be rid of that horrid pain.

Good luck with it!
