They had promised that Friday would be cooler here in PA, but not so far! Even kept the computer off most of the day in case the storms rolled in as promised. Well the sun is out and I need to post my
Friends with Flair post!
My first card is using The Kit of the Month from January 2011, called "to the moon & back". It was one I selected as part of my prize. I also wanted to try out one of the new in color ink pads from SU! I must say, they do stamp easier. The new color is called Midnight Muse. I also used Crumb Cake ink on my Soft Sand card stock. I added a couple of stars that set like eyelets, and a little silver Stickles. The embossed blue card stock was bought that way.
My second card is using a Unity stamp from my grab bag prize. I just fell in love with the rustic flag and sentiment. The little burst was in the bag also. So, to sum up what I did for this one, it is as follows:
Red card base
Embossed white stamped with the little burst stamp (Crushed Curry)
Coloring was done with Memento Markers
Embellishments are a sticky star border, red tulle, Prima flower, gems and gem brad.
You have the rest of the evening to get a project in for
Friends with Flair over on the Unity blog. If not, please go check out all of the gorgeous work that is linked up! Happy start to the weekend!

These are wonderful, Mary Anne! Love the masculine colors on the first and the BG stars! On the second, I really like the embossed BG, the star border and the touch of bling you added!
I've been debating whether or not to get the "new" SU ink pads. Guess I should go try the new In Colors first and see for myself! :)
