Grateful

A few posts ago I wrote about purchasing those great 12x12 sheets of card stock, with the ATC size cut aparts on one side.  This card was created using one such piece.  Sorry to say I do not remember who made this one, but I do know how pretty you can make them with a few embellishments.

I started with a grey Bazzill, textured card base.  The next layer is white card with an assortment of Washi stripes.  I then popped up the cut apart piece, and began to embellish.  My base diecut is Harrington Vine from Memory Box.  I used an older die from SU for the blue leaves and my yellow flowers are a mini punch, also from SU!  I sugared up some of the flowers with Stickles an added pearls for my flower centers.

I decided to enter this card in Shopping Our Stash #347 No Ink.  (That sentiment was pre printed on the panel.)

This is one of those cards where you just let your mind go crazy and do it's thing.  Hope you have a great Tuesday and thanks for the visit.

Just Wing It!

Well we made it through Nor-Easter #4 with 15.2 inches.  Come on Spring, it is your turn, now!  I keep cards that I have made and not posted in a file on my desktop, and I found this card with a hummer that I never used.  OMGosh older stamps, scraps from my bin and these great die cuts.  Love it!

My stamps are from SU!  The stitched square and hummer are from Gina Marie.  Inks are SU!, and coordinate with my designer scraps.  The hummer was washed in areas with Unicorn White ink from Hero Arts and when dry, I added some fancy Stickles.

This will be entered over at Double D Challenges for their Just Wing It challenge.

Hope all is well in your little part of the world.  Be cool and I will see you again soon!

Something a Little Different!

Happy snowy hump day!  Phew.  The storms just keep on coming, and they are hard to figure out.  Oh well, it means more craft time.  This morning I got to create for the Tuesday Morning Sketches #445.  This lovely sketch was created for us by Janice Melton.

This card started with a plain white base and a layer of Tiny Checks paper by MFT.  For some reason I have been obsessed by foils lately, so I used a die I could layer with gold, and I was pleased.  I also broke down and gave in to some Anna Griffin die cuts, so I decided to use them today, also.  The only other addition are some lavender gems.

The best thing is that I have another Easter card completed.  I feel like I am so behind!  Thanks for stopping by.

Working with Gray!

Hi everyone.  I am sitting here waiting for our 3rd Nor-Easter to hit, in the last 2 weeks.  The skys are gray and gloomy.  I saw this challenge over on my friend blog and decided it was quite fitting for this crazy weather.  Double D Challenges is hosting "When Skies are Gray".  Perfect, right?

Let me explain the gray....Hubby took me to a stamp show this past weekend which ended up being kind of a bust.  There were only about a dozen vendors and the lines were out the door.  Could not even spend time enjoying what was there. Let's not even talk about the entrance fee for hubby and I.  Anyway since I could not get most things on my list, I decided to try some new hybrid inks from IO.  The had a show special of buy 4 pads and get 5th free.  I was lacking in Gray ink so I bought 4  shades: fog, mist, taupe and shadow.  I got bubble gum pink free.

Okay, on to my tag!  I started with a Gina Marie fishtail banner, I stamped around the edge with a Stamps by Judith shell stubby.  Next there was some Washi added.  My stamps are from a gorgeous ocean theme stamp set by Sheena Douglass, and her Sea View Collection. I fussy cut the compass rose and popped it up with foam tape.  I added some recollections stars and a dark cord tie on.  The ink color used was Shadow.

Thanks for coming by.  I just love visitors!

Storm After Storm!

For all of my east coast friend, be safe as we enter into our second of the last 7 days.  They are calling for 10-16 inches, and praying the power stays on.  We have the promise of storm #3 arriving the end of this weekend.  March has truly come in like a lion!

I decided to at least post for my Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #443.  I grabbed some stamps that are super old and brand new, some left over circle bits, and some inks and Copics to pull this card together.

The bunny I bought in an animal set on Ebay.  My grass stamp is Art Impressions.  The large bloom is from the old D.O.T.S. Co., and my little butterflies are a stubby stamp from Stamps by Judith.  My circles we leftovers on my desk, as well as the spiked edge one which were insides from dies.  My ink is SU! Primrose Petals.  I just drag things from everywhere!  Oh, and my yellow card stock is Bazzill with a layer of unknown designer paper.  There is a satin bow and Nuvo Drops as embellishments.

Glad to get this posted, and I hope you enjoy what you see.  Thanks for popping by!
