Anything Goes at SSS!

Today I have a card created with Unity KOM from June 2011.  My inks are Gumball Green and Strawberry Slush from SU!  Once stamped, I simply pulled the color in the roses with a water brush.  My papers are a white card base and scraps from my stash.  The side border is a scrap sent through my crimper.  The only embellishments are pink gems in assorted sizes.

This will be entered over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for this weeks "Anything Goes".

I appreciate the visit, and I hope to see you soon.

Everyone Loves Critters!

This week the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is called Create with Critters.  I just had to have this adorable stamp set by Newton's Nook called Shark Bites, and had yet to ink it up.  My shark and word bubble were stamped in Stazon, on watercolor paper, and water colored.  I am such a big fan of plaid, and I adore the shades of blue in these scrap pieces.  I also used watercolor paper and made a panel with my new Brusho's powders.  Boy, they were fun!  My words are TH dies and are cut from that panel.  This was great fun!

I do believe I will send this shark over to Pixie's Snippets Playground #213, to play.  It is made with lots of scraps.

We are almost cleaned out from the 30+ inches of snow we received this weekend.  Hubby is such a good egg, and he is off helping neighbors get cleaned out.  Hope if you were in this storms path, you are fairing as well as we are.  I am sending a warm hug.

Forest Friends

Happy Tuesday!  While I still had my Dec 2014 Unity kit out, I just had to give these sweet foxes a play.  I remember right before this kit was released, Angela at Unity asked what we might like to see in this kit.  I said a wooded background, and I am ever so grateful it was included!

The cuddling fox, the snowflake and stand of trees are all from this awesome kit.  All were stamped with Stazon ink.  The cuddlers were colored with my SAI watercolor markers. The fox and the snowflake were fussy cut, and Stickles were added to the flake.  My card base is Neenah ivory, with a layer of AC designer paper from their Hot Cocoa collection.  I cut a piece of water color with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle for my trees.  I will add this to my stash for next holiday season, as I could not decide on a sentiment now. :)

We have 0* windchill this morning, and I have 2 doggies that are resisting doing what needs doing!  Can't wait to see how we are going to handle a real snow storm when it comes this weekend!  Have a blessed day, and I appreciate the visit.

A Scrappy Little Valentine

Here is a little Valentine I made using up some paper scraps that I thought worked together.  The dotty border stamp and my focal sentiment are Unity stamps from the January 2015 KOM called Magic of Beginnings.  The images were stamped with SU! Strawberry Slush.  The foiled hearts are from K&Co.   Don't you find that if you purchase one of the die cut packs, that they hang around forever!

I would like to take this card over to Pixie's Snippets Playground #212, where it is always good to use up your bits and scraps.

We had a light dusting of snow yesterday, and from what I hear, my GS made the most of it!

Okay, that is it for today.  Thanks for cruising by and keep warm!

A Little Sunday Offering.

Here is one of the many cards I have been creating in my free time.  I have been pulling out older stamp sets and just creating until I run out of ideas, then I move on to another.  Posting on this blog has been a bit of a chore so sorry, I took a little break.  I also found out that Unity is no longer doing a weekly hop for non designers.  I guess I will create just to have fun!

My card base is Neenah ivory, which I am finding a wee bit dark.  I needed to order white so I figured I would give the ivory a whirl.  The verdict is still out.  My layers are scraps of Bazzill card from my bin.  I cut a stitched rectangle from watercolor paper, using Lil Inkers dies and stamped my image in Stazon.  I also stamped the same image on my ivory base, over and over.  Next came the fun part, as I got to play with my new SAI watercolor markers I received for Christmas.  I added Washi tape and assorted sequins as my embellishments.

That is it for the Sunday edition of  my trying to get motivated.  Thanks for the visit!

Hopping with Unity

Another great chance to get inspired and join the weekly Hop on the Unity Blog.  Check it out!  There is also another fantastic sale going on, so be sure to look at all the bargains.

Today I have a card for you using the Unity stamp set called Jar Full of Sweetness.  I included stenciling, sponging and stamping, in shades of pink.  There are punches, brads, doilies, washi and wrinkle ribbon as embellishments.

I created this little Valentine out of bits from my desktop.  Thanks for stopping around.

Something New!

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is called "Something New".  New baby, new home, new car, new you, or crafty supplies that Santa brought!  I am going for the supplies.  I felt quite spoiled with the goodies I received.  This card actually uses 3 new supplies.

The first is a Spellbinders die set called Fairy Cierra.  I glittered up her wand to create some magic.

The second are my Thank You word dies which are included in a Tim Holtz set called Celebrations, from Sizzix.  There are 13 dies in the set!  What a deal!

My third newbie is a Darice embossing folder which I received from my friend and partner in crafty crime, Carol.  It is called Plaid Background, and is 5x7.  Love it!

The ribbons and papers are from my stash.  The rose background was printed and touches of stardust pen were added for sparkle.

I am trying to get back into the swing of things, and getting into the groove of 2016.  I am on week 3 of this respiratory nonsense, and it just plain wears you out.  Thanks for visiting and not giving up on me.

I would also like to take this over to Pixie's Snippets Playground #210, since I have used lots of leftovers on my card.

A New Year

Hope everyone has had a great start to their 2016.  I am on week 3 of this nasty congestion and crud.  Did a whole round of antibiotics, missed lots of work, and ache from laying around.  Guess it will go in it's own good time.

So, that is why I am still posting a holiday card.  It just never got posted.  I used the Itty Bitty Unity set called Elf Christmas, by Angie.  Created the striped background using the baby wipe and re-inker on glossy cardstock techniques.  I just love to create multiple backgrounds for uses when I do it.  The coloring was done with Copic markers and stamping and sponging was done with Gumball Green ink from SU!.  The designer papers are all scraps and for embellishments, I used red gems, and a yo-yo that was pre-made.  A SU! punched border completes the scene.

If you have a chance, please go hop along with all the Unity peeps.  They always offer such great inspiration.  Plus, they have extended the hop until Sunday night!
