Hi, friends! I am here to announce the winner of the $25 Michael's gift card! Their were 48 comments total, on my blog, for the Hop/Card Drive for Lauryn. Since DH was home today, for the holiday, I secured his help with printing out each name and I let him pick out of the hat.
The winner is JimLynn! Congrats! If you can send me your details ASAP, I can get this in the mail tomorrow! My email is ma54k@comcast.net .
It sounds like Lauryn is having a very rough week. If you have a spare card or prayer for this little princess, I am sure it would go a long way with cheering her up. Thanks to everyone who joined in. God Bless you, and have a great holiday!

Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you....
Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease. Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...many of you in the stamping community probably already know sweet Linda!
As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.
Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial.
Cards can be mailed to:

For the Playground.....
I sure was a wild week around here! Between medical procedures, a funeral, work, and a stamp show, there was not much time for crafting. The stamp show was the fun part!
My card is one I made this past winter, and it never made it out of the folder marked "Cards to Post". After the stamp show, on Friday, my dear friend Carol saw this card and told me I just had to post it. It is a love/valentine of sorts. Rather clean and simple. It uses scraps of papers from my bin, burlap and a digital subway art angle. I used 2 sizes of heart punches, and some Dew Drops as embellishments.
I learned at the fabric store to pull a thread in the burlap, and to use that as a line to cut, so that all stays straight. My bow is the thread I pulled. There are also some gold Stickles for a little sparkle!
This card will be entered over at Pixie's Snippets Playground # 120.

Another Friends with Flair Friday!
Here is a card that I created using the March 2014, Kit of the Month from Unity. The kit is called The Reason Someone Smiles.
The card uses a fun chevron embossing folder and scraps of white, orange, and grey card stock. I created a polka dot background with Zig Dotta-Riffic markers. I used the small tag punch from SU!, along with a flower and leaf punch from Marvy. Kind of easy peasy, and I really liked the different color combo! I colored with Copic markers, and added Dew Drops for flower centers.
Please check out the other artists that have linked in for Friends with Flair. There is also another great sale going at the Unity store! Have a fantastic weekend, and be sure to stop around on Monday for the special blog hop, and card drive we are having for Little Lauryn! Check out her story, by clicking on the orange ribbon, on my side bar.

Friends with Flair
Today, I have used one of the very first kits that I bought from Unity. It was a split kit called In Bloom, and Naturally You. It had lots of great botanical stamps, which I tend to reach for time and time again. Please be sure to stop around, and check out all of the Friends with Flair links today. There is also a great sale going on in the Unity Shop.
The card stock and papers were just from my scrap bin, with my next layer being a paper doily. I had recently got a great deal on Spellbinder/Xyron dies, and was anxious to use a set. I chose the butterflies. Using white card stock, I picked out the lilac stamp and used CTMH markers to color it. I also colored and stamped my sentiment. Using the dies I positioned and cut them out, then used VersaMagic ink to sponge my edges. I added some Prima flower, which have hung around here forever, and created leaves with an SU! Sizzlet die. I created antenna with purple craft wire, and added some plum pearls.
I would also like to enter this over at the Pixie Snippets Playground # 118, since I was such a good girl, and used up lots of bits.
If you are looking for the link for Lots of Love for Lauryn, you can find it here, or by clicking on that beautiful orange ribbon on my sidebar. They have added some digital images which can be purchased to help the family. You can also get more info on my previous post.

Lots of Love!
There is an address, for anyone who would like to send a card. She loves Princesses, and Spiderman. Her mommy said that pink and purple are definite favorites! Look at that sweet smile! There will be a blog hop, with prizes on the 14th of April. Mostly we asking for your prayers for Lauryn, her parents, and her 2 siblings. As you can imaging, this is a very trying time for all.
Fight hard, sweet angel! I will update when there is something new. Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says Stamp and PSP
Here is my supply list:
.*My card base is a piece from a huge pile of scraps given to me from a retiring SU demo. Green???
*My designer paper is We R Memory Keepers (recess). My friend Carol and I have been finding some great papers to share.
*On a recent play date, I was able to use the exclusive SU embossing folder that was offered during the Sale-A-Bration, which ends tomorrow. Just love this reverse side as craters. I had to have my own and it is coming tomorrow! It's called Decorative Dots, and is free with a certain purchase.
*Next, I borrowed and cut out a few Bread Tags, from the Chalk Talk frame- lits. They are cut out of Sweet Corn card from Gina K. Designs
*For my embellishments I used twine and buttons from Gina K. Designs, diecut leaves from SU!, printed flowers from Prima (so old), and piece of burlap with gold threads.
* My sentiment is from a Unity Stamp Co. grab bag that I won, and it is inked with a CTMH pen .
Have a wonderful day rest of the weekend, and I appreciate your visits.

Friends with Flair
I started with a green card stock with texture, layered on some paper from K&Co designed by Kim Hodges, and then my colored image, which was done with Copic markers. I did a double of the umbrella, and popped it up. I added paper lace, also from K&Co, and gems to add some texture and sparkle. It reminds me of a row of beach cottages.
I do apologize for the tiny bit of Black Lab hair that made it into the photo. Grrr. Love her dearly, but, she has to leave her trademark everywhere. If that is Jessie's job, she does it quite well.

Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for the visit.

Friends with Flair and Be Inspired Time.
Another week has passed, and yesterday we celebrated the first day of Spring! Our temps are still being a bit wonky, here in PA, and they are even saying the "S" word for next week. I am trying to be positive, use the freshness of Spring to move forward, and conquer what has been dragging me down, this past Winter!
I decided to do the Be Inspired Challenge, at Unity, as well as enter these cards into Friends with Flair, this week. Be sure to click, and check out all of the beautiful work that is linked up. There is also a sale going on, at Unity, so be sure to check that out!
For my first card, I used the sweet circular stamp from the March KOM at Unity. I punched it with the scallop punch from SU!, and colored it with Copic markers. The flower center is done with diamond Stickles. My base is Pure Ivory card stock from Gina K. Designs. The designer paper is from MME and their Vanity Fair collection. I just adore that touch of hounds tooth!
Here is the sketch I followed for the Be Inspired Challenge.
Rumor has it, that 65 is in our future for tomorrow. Maybe some of the leaves and debris can be removed over my bulbs. I won't rush over the later flowers, so they can stay tucked in. Whatever you end up doing, make it a good time!

Card 2 is strictly for the Friends with Flair, this week. It also uses the Vanity Fair designer paper, from MME. The butterflies and the sentiment are both in the March KOM. I fussy cut the one and popped it up. My little loopy border is cut from K&Co adhesive paper lace. Coloring is done with Copic markers and touches of clear were added with a glaze pen.Rumor has it, that 65 is in our future for tomorrow. Luck of the Irish!
This uses stuff from all over my stamp room. I used an olive and white cardstock to make the main frame for this folding card in a box. I found the tutorial on Pinterest. I created shamrocks from a scrap of plaid paper I found in my bin. The paper roses are from Recollections. The pup digi is marked FF6 St. Pats Puppy, from Ike's World. The single beer mug digi is from Blackberry Jelly. The beer stamp on my side panels are from Canadian Maple Collections. The 2 sentiments are unmounted stamps from my collection, but are unknown. I used Diamond and Gold Stickles and a scrap of green ribbon for the dog's bow. Coloring was done with Copic markers.
Since I used so many scraps and unloved bits, I would like to enter this at Pixie's Snippets Playground.
I thought I would also give it a go with the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Lucky".
Awww, what the heck...... I might as well enter this in the challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. It is Challenge #3 "P is for Paddy". That is a great place!
If you indulge in the green beer today, make sure you drink lots of water, also. That will help with things in the morning. Be sure you have a DD to get you home!

Happy Friday, FwF!
I am still baffled at how it got to be Friday again, so soon. Hope all is well in your little part of the world. The 2 cards I am sharing for Friends with Flair, this week, are both using the new March KOM, from Unity. It is called "The Reason Someone Smiles". The images are just lovely!
Both of my cards are made with designer paper from My Minds Eye. I have had this paper for years, and I found it great to stamp directly onto. There is a great distressed feel about it. A new Sizzlet die came my way, and I created the doily with it. I also used a new Real Red ink pad from SU! That is a whole other story!
Have you ever pushed a new SU! ink pad, to open the lid, and have it fly across the room? Then you can't get it back together. Ugh! Here is what I looked like, after that mess!
Okay, my friends...... enjoy the upcoming weekend! So glad you stopped.
