Snailed It!

Every time I tell myself that I am going to slow down with buying stamps, someone comes out with a set that screams to me.  When I saw a recent release at Unity, that is exactly what happened!  The stamp set I am using for my two fer this month is called is called Snailed it!  There are 2 snail friends in the set, plus some great sentiment and doo dads.

I used  papers from my hoarded Basic Grey stash and the Olivia paper pad.  I stamped with Memento, Rich Cocoa and coloring was done with Copic markers.  It was cut out with a MFT inside out stitched oval.  My embellishments are some felt grass border, a sparkly heart, some Glossy Accents and some hand doodling.

My second card uses papers from the same collection, my snail colored and fussy cut, and the negative frame from my oval.  I added some corrugated kraft to the bottom with a brass star brad.   I added teeny tiny beads for the snails eyeballs while the Glossy Accents were still wet.  Thought this would make a great encouragement card.

These were created for Darnell's Two-fer Challenge, which is #20 and to use Critters.  I would also like to take my first card over to the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge #30 for September.

Now, I find this a wee bit crazy, but The day my stamps arrived, this was in my yard, climbing on some garden blocks!

I just found this so funny!  I have never seen one in PA with antenna and a shell!  Most we ever had were slugs.  They were creepy.  Anyway, thanks for sticking with my long post.  Have a great weekend!

Such adorable cards with those cute snails! The live one isn't quite as sweet as your stamped ones...but how funny that it showed up the day your stamps arrived!

EEP! Snails, snails everywhere! I'll let you keep that live one - YIKES - but the cards are adorable. LOVE the eyes on that little guy too. CUTE cards!
I finally quit trying to fight it and now if I see something I HAVE to have, I just bite the bullet and do it. I can see why you had to have the snail!

Look at the grin on that guy! I love him and the title of the stamp set, so I can see why you had to have him, Mary Anne! And how spooky that a real live snail appeared on the same day! I love odd things like that. Your designs are both going to bring smiles to the recipients and I find them inspirational in how you used your pp! I also love the use of the negative die, corrugated kraft, and glossified beady eyeballs on your second card! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #20! Hugs, Darnell

Can't say that I have ever seen a real snail either but how cool! And that is so funny that it showed up the same day as your stamps! Haha! Your twofer cards are wonderful, Mary Anne! You always come up with such wonderful designs! Love your coloring and the texture on these! A job well done with those Oh So Cute snails! TFS and have a great weekend! :)

THis is a fun twofer with those cute snails and I love that a real one magically appeared the day your stamp set arrived! LOL The corrugated panel looks so cool and I love how you used the negative for the oval cut for a frame to show off some cool dsp! Very clever of you! Great twofer of critters!

I absolutely get it. I put myself on a stamp-buying moratorium, and the next thing you know, I've clicked "add to cart." I'm blaming the stamp companies for making things that I can't resist, lol!! I can see why you had to have this set, though...these images are darling! So glad you used these papers for your cards. They are really pretty, and I like that minty bow; you've picked up that subtle color so nicely! Felt grass, sweet heart, and all your elements combine to make two fun critter cards. Thank you for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Bev
